It will work, bot the PC and TV have HDMI connections. I don't think the resolution is fantastic, but i'm no monitor pro.

As long as they both have same connection ie hdmi then it will be plug and play and you will only have to change the input to whichever port pc is plugged into.

Hi,for what it's worth I just had a look at the quick install guide on samsungs site.According to them at least it should be just plug and play. The computer you bought has two HDMI sockets,so it should be just a case of attach the HDMI lead to one of those, plug the other end into the HDMI in (DVI) socket on your tv and you should be good to go.I did the same with my Phillips tv and it works just fine.Hope this helps.

The manual diagram says use hdmi in 2 for connnection to pc or laptop
it says connecting pc thru hdmi in may not be supported on certain pcs,

    qoute from manual
eg if pc refresh rate or resolution is not supported i presume.
    try 1024x768 refresh rate 60mhz.
it works on my samsung tv.
    Bought in 2010

my samsung manual gives 3 recommended resolutions for use as a pc .
I would not advise anyone to read text on a tv,
ok to use for youtube, bbc, rte player ,Netflix, online video .
or for playing video game,s .

tvs are lean back devices .
pc monitors are maybe 4 foot from the user .

Does the TV have a cursor? Wouldn't have thought it'd be an option on a TV (smart or not)

I got the mouse and keyboard to work but when the tv goes to youtube it only allows me to use remote control

I set up a tv box for a friend ,in 2014.
comes with wireless mouse ,keyboard full size ,
    cost 75 euro. has app,s for youtube,chrome, browsers .
it turns your tv into a full pc .
mouse ,keyboard use aaa batterys .
    The
Box plugs into any broadband router .
A smart tv means it has apps and connects to the net .
And can be controlled to use the apps .
Maybe the remote has a touch pad on it .

guys majorly need your help now

I bought a Samsung 23.5” Curved LED Monitor with High Glossy Black Finish and from 9pm tonight all was well and watching x-fils and the monitor suddenly turned off and never came back on. The blue power light in there but nothing on screen.

I thought it was my computer but I tested it out with the 40 in JVC tv and its fine so its the monitor not the computer.

    Please help

try it on hdmi in input , from a sky box or dvd player .
you just bought it ,you have at least a years gaurantee .
Bring it back if it does not work.Try pc in vga mode input at 1024x768.refresh rate pc 60mhz.
Don,t lose the reciept ,maybe take a photo of the receipt .

You can use it. All you need is a cable, either VGA or HDMI.
