Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Midtjylland-vs-Manchester-United.jpg

    Team News

The home team will be without the services of experienced midfielder Jakob Poulsen, who is suspended after picking up three yellow cards in the group stages.

Twenty-nine-year-old goalkeeper Johan Dahlin is also nursing a knee problem and is not expected to feature, but Croatian forward Martin Pusic, who has previously played for Hull City, is fit and available, as is the highly-rated Pione Sisto.

As for Man United, skipper Wayne Rooney was not included in the travelling squad on Wednesday, meaning that Anthony Martial should switch from a wide position to centre-forward.

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Marouane Fellaini were also not included in the squad, while Matteo Darmian misses out after dislocating his shoulder against Sunderland at the weekend.

A selection of youngsters have made the trip, however, including Donald Love, who made his debut at the weekend. Regan Poole, Joe Riley and James Weir will also make at least the bench for the visitors.

Memphis Depay has struggled for regular action in recent weeks, but the Dutchman is expected to come into a wide position, while Ander Herrera and Paddy McNair are also pushing for inclusion.

The likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marcos Rojo, Ashley Young, Phil Jones and Luke Shaw remain on the sidelines.

    Midtjylland possible starting lineup:
Anderson; Novak, Sviatchenko, Hansen, Romer; Royer, Poulsen, Sparv, Olsson, Sisto; Pusic

    Man United possible starting lineup:
De Gea; Love, McNair, Smalling, Blind; Schneiderlin, Herrera; Depay, Mata, Lingard; Martial

Just impossible for me to give a single shiny ****e about this game.

Seeing as we're not going to get top 4, should we be taking this game seriously?

1-3 to United... not based on much!

Going for a 0-2 win against the Midgetlands or whatever they called.

I see question marks on the FTA in the thread title. Anybody know for sure? This may determine how fast I drive home.

Why are people not taking our best chance of CL qualification and one of our two chances left this season at winning a trophy seriously?

It's like people would prefer to come 4th and gain CL qualification than winning a European trophy and gaining it, madness

Furthermore we're not going to get 4th, so some would rather moan about that and moan that we're in the Europa :)

Exactly, it's not like it's a realism thing, our chances of top 4 are gone unless someone above us has a massive collapse, they're basically saying I don't care if we get champions league next season,

I'm personally excited about it, we've never won it before so why not, would people not rather this than no European football at all like 14/15?

Midtjylland are a top 4 team and deserve to be taken seriously.

United do have a hell of a lot of injuries.
Aside from this they have been poor and confidence must be on the floor.
    They know LVG is leaving.

I don't know anything about the Danish team other than they've made it this far, so can't be too bad.

    United could really struggle here.

Looks like De Gea injured in the warm-up (limping). Romero getting the nod to start it seems.

    EDIT: Confirmed Romero is starting.

    No sub-keeper available now.

No De Gea, wonder how much we lose by...

Oh ****e. DDG injured!! Hope it's nothing serious and just a precaution. Actually though Romero should have been given a start anyway.

They're 5/1 with Paddy Power. Go do it now, you will feel better when we lose :o

No keeper on the bench lads, this has a Romero injury/sending off written all over it.

Sisto should be playing right wing, he is quick. Blind might get done a few times tonight.

As a lifelong Myjdlterlandst fan, I've been looking forward to this one ever since the draw was made. As we say on the the terraces of the Snůgĺltörft, "Häglesmï ön dis Mïdjgos!"

Interested in watching Sisto. Didn't even know he played for Midtjylland but he always plays a blinder against me on FM!

Not that concerned about De Gea being out tonight (as long as it's not serious). I don't think Romero is as bad as people make out. Let him rest for the Shrewsbury game too hopefully.

Depay wearing tights. I'll add that to my list of reasons why I dislike him.
