someone recommended indeed.ie on here to me been fantastic for scoping out jobs past few months.

I'm looking to find the best couple of IT recruiters in Dublin to give a call to and send CV in...in the hopes that they'll hook me up with a suitable job?
I'm looking in Dublin (or Limerick if possible).

Have started applying to jobs but I am in Australia and not getting responses so far so looks like may be harder then expected sorting from here....

I have over 10 years experience predominantly in the Middleware space as well as Unix/Windows

Thats great experience you have. You should pick something up in Dublin as for Limerick ,its more than likely going to be tough to find something. Unfortunately the IT market is flooded with people looking for work at the moment so its tough going trying to find anything .Try IT contractors or Irish jobs.

    Really?!
Everytime I speak to people at home past years the all seemed to be saying IT the career to be in back in Ireland...only thing going well...they crying out for people etc etc....so this not the case?

    The usual smoke and mirrors

Only looking for permanent work at the moment..

I'd correct the post you quoted to say that the IT market is flooded with graduates.

If you've five years plus experience and a solid resume, you should be snapped up.

In the field I work in, contractors are being brought in from the UK on rates of up to 750 sterling a day due to shortages. I'd a recruiter in my specific area of IT tell me my rate per day was on the low side recently when we were talking about a potential role which I didn't go for.

It really depends which area you specialise in. If you are willing to relocate to Dublin take your pick of jobs. As for the rest of the country its a different story. i have 8 years experience but working in the UK at the moment. I would love to move home but not Dublin . The pay and jobs are just not there.

I can't speak to the market in Limerick but the Dublin market is absolutely buzzing at the moment. If you've any type of experience you should have absolutely no problem lining something up.

The issue may be that you are currently based in Aus, I'd imagine that would put quite a few recruiters off straight away. When are you planning to return to Ireland?

Yes I think so, I spoke to recruiter last night who said some companies not willing to do skype interviews fair enough.
So have widened the net and applied to more jobs past couple of days, getting few responses so hopefully looking better.

Heading back as soon as get work brought some stuff back already and seeling stuff here, would have to give a months notice.

I wouldn't be put off by a candidate being in Australia at all - as long as I could be sure of their commitment to move to Ireland and it was fairly clear that there's no visa issues.

Almost all of my clients will do Skype interviews also. The last few people I placed in jobs were interviewed 100% remotely. The first time they meet their new employers face to face will be on their first day!
If they don't do Skype interviews, it exponentially increases their time to hire. One of my clients has had a Ruby dev role open for 5 months cuz they insist on face-to-face interviews only. Other clients have hired and had people on-boarded already in this time!

IT candidates at a mid and senior level are unbelievably hard to find right now - nearly every area is screaming for people. My number one issue is finding qualified candidates and nearly all my candidates have multiple job offers when it gets to Offer Time.

(You're not a .NET Integration expert with Cisco experience, OP, by any chance...?)
