Epson running watch

Picked up one of the less popular running watches, an Epson SF-810, earlier this week via ebay as it's way cheaper than the equivalent Garmin. Appealing things for me were the accurate GPS & long battery life as I'm tend to do the odd ultra & if the optical HRM worked then that would be a bonus. It's a bit of change coming…

It's a bit of change coming from a Garmin with a slightly clunky interface but I'm sure will get used to it. See pic below for how it performed while I was bringing some people from work on a c25k program, all looks reasonable enough. Bonus points for figuring out which week we're on!

Still using GC for keeping track of stuff as a handy webservice will sync from the Epson site to Garmin automatically for which I've paid the princely sum of five yankee dollars for a year.
