Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

10 bars, show me a 2011 leaf that has 12 bars and I'll show you a seller that knows how to reset the OBC!!

They're lying. The pic shows its not 12 bars, looks like 10.

I doubt there is a single 2011-2012 Leaf that still has 12 bars.

That's what I thought. Hence my recommending a 141 with the new battery chemistry (even XE) over a 2011 with a degraded older battery if the money is tight...

I understand your budget argument but the XE/Visia has too many things missing really.... open to correction but I think its missing.... Heat Pump (thats a big one as it affects range!), satnav, heated seats, telemetry (i.e app support - another big one in my eyes) and I'm sure there is more.

If there was only €1k in the difference I'd find it under a rock somewhere to get the SV over the XE/Visia. I'd even be willing to go back a year.

I would agree on trying to get the UK built Leaf though to get that better battery.

Its a balancing act I suppose if budget is tight, but I just couldnt put myself in a Visia.

Can any ioniq Bev owners give an insight into the quality of the headlights?

I believe the dip beam is led but the full is halogen. They are often marketed as full led.

How does the dip beam work out on unlit roads? Does the full beam work well ? Would they compare to the quality of the old leaf Tekna led’s? Which in fairness are a great light unit.
    Many thanks lads.

Dipped beams I find very bright much better than my previous cars golf, Corsa,3series, or rental Corolla.

Anyone else here lost 1 bar on their Ioniq at 20,000 miles (34,000km)?
Is this normal and when should I expect the next bar to go?

[Edit -April fools, ioniq does not do this]

Anyone on here driving the gloriously clean looking blue Ioniq I saw at the rapid charger in Ballindine yesterday?

Could have been me...many people could have seen me yesterday...

    Galway>Shannon>Castlebar>Leitrim>Castlebar>Galway

I stopped @ ~75% in Ballindine as Leaf arrived and picked up a passanger in castlebar, so took a quick dash and splash.

It's posts like this that make me think I should be more careful with what I post online to be honest :D

(Not to mention I removed all PII from the car before selling it on so there were no prior locations in it!!)

FYI to those who eventually sell on their Ioniqs - It's probably a good idea to clear all map locations before it's sold on. It feels kind of weird that I can see where the car has been.

I'm only relatively new to the car, but from memory it's the address book. It seems to save previous destinations entered into the SatNav.

You have a light foot :)

This morning at 8AM it was only just above freezing and mine showed 218km range (probably based on the warmer weather in the previous few days). Have the car 2 years this week, just gone through 30k km, and there is zero sign of any battery degradation as far as I can tell (haven't hooked it up to to any diagnostic software though)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,553 ✭✭✭Fiery mutant

Have mine just over 2 years, 95000km, and service now at end of April. Be interested to see what the diagnostic says for that.

Charging always kicked in straight away at 11pm or so before but since the change I've had to go out and unlock the zappi to get it to kick in.

I have the night rate time set to start at 12:10am so I would expect it to kick in then, last night it hadn't kicked in by 12:30am. As soon as I unlocked the zappi it started charging. Same thing happened sunday night.

Before it used to kick in pretty much straight away when it hit night rate hours.

That sounds a bit strange alright. You could try to set a new charge session and delete the previous one. If all else fails, you can do a factory reset. You would need to set it up again, but it might remove this glitch.
