Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Martial, Rashford and Fel are the only players who have looked dangerous recently, and we have all three missing :(

Its mad Pep seems to get very little flak for these things :)

Also, how LVG was heralded early in his career for his use of players versatility, perception and point of view are absolutely critical to everything really aren't they

Norwich fighting for their lives isn't going to be easy anyway, I would expect they let him lead the team out at Wembley even if a decision is taken today on his future.

Would it be too much to ask for Depay not to f*ck up every single thing he does?

Agreed. I don't think we get any word till after the cup. At best, we get told beforehand it's his last game, but I think they will let him try for the cup at this stage.

Its crazy, recent seasons have seen us plagued with muscular injuries and stuff and this season they have subsided more or less to be replaced by impact injuries! Couldn't make it up.

Not a good start by us, hopefully Norwich wear themselves out a little bit cause as usual the other team look more up for the fight then us. At some point I guess we could catch them committing too many forward but need to get a bit of control on the game really

Pep generally does it successfully tho, mata does not offer anything out wide and very rarely has for united.

Don't want to overreact or anything but Depay is one of the worst players I've ever seen in a United shirt :pac:

I wouldn't judge any player under van Gaal. He's gotten very little from a lot of these players.

I wouldn't be overly upset keeping LVG. I mean he's made a lot of bad decisions but it's close to working at the moment and the right couple of players and the squad is looking fairly good for the future. A top right winger and a dynamic number 10 or attacking centre mid would make the world of difference to the team in an attacking sense. Should be looking at the likes of Rodriguez or Isco from Madrid for the number 10 and test the waters with Griezmann or Muller for the right. If they don't work out there's a lot of upgrades on whats there already.
Seriously, what in this first half indicates United could have a bright future under LVG?

    This is utterly appalling.

Rojo and Memphis first out the door please this summer, what did these 2 clowns cost us 40 million +??

Its sad alright, watching Memphis bearing down on his man at speed in a one on one, and you just knew he wasn't going to come out on top.

We normally have one decent half, one ****e half, so is it possible we might be ok in the second half and look like a team that wants to do all they can to win a game?

He could still at least have tried to do something other than run straight into him tbf

I wouldn't get your hopes up, I think we'll lose 1-0. Bassong or Jerome from a set piece.

You would love to just ask Woodward out straight what the **** is Van Gaal still doing at this club?

I'd love to know his actual honest opinion on this surely he ain't that deluded and he can see how awful the team is playing the vast majority of the time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

    Why is Memphis so shít?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,217 ✭✭✭✭StringerBell

Didn't mention the Smalling header either, that was poor. He has to at least hit the target there, we don't often get opportunities from set pieces, cause we suck at them, that would have been a welcome boost from an awful half.

Can't say I am surprised by what we are looking at just now. The fact that the players can't motivate themselves to win and have a chance at top 4 is astonishing.

We really need another clear out and some proper scouts to highlight players with pace and a first touch.

There's been more embarrassing results over the last two or three seasons but this must be the most lifeless, pathetic performance of the lot. Especially considering this is our last swing at getting a Champions League place.

    Sigh.

I'm envious of anyone who couldn't get to watch this game. Lucky them.

Depay using the old run straight at them and hope they get out of the way tactic.

They're under LvG's orders to conserve energy. Marathon 7 days left in the season yet.
