Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I fear I may be the scud. When the kids were born 4 years ago I was trim and had myself a Utd shirt. Then the sleepless nights started and I piled a load of weight on, to the point of refusing to buy another Utd shirt. Recently the kids sleep has settled down and I have lost some weight and fit back into my old shirts. Today was the first time I have worn a Utd shirt on match day in about 2 and a half years.

I would like to formally apologise to David Moyes.[

    I hear ye pal!

What a win, what a performance.

    Graeme Souness devastated.

I actually like Souness and think he's pretty balanced.

I think he's more annoyed with Arsenal as he sees the talent they have and yet time and time again they are utterly spineless.

Makes you wonder if its changes to the system or changes to the players that have sparked the recent good performances (barring Sunderland).

Makes you wonder what happens when certain players return from injury.

Obviously the likes of Rooney and Martial would play again, far more interesting to see if Varela gets shunted out again for Young or Valencia.

I love the energy and intent.

People who can run in possession, run to make space for others, buy respite in transition when your ahead etc. Run back to crowd out the opposition or pounce on loose play in defence

Herrera in midfield brings legs. Varela and Lingard down the right. Rashford running into space on the counter. Mata getting to go into different positions with people running off/around him.

Its was the type of performance I want to see from United. I enjoyed and will do so again watching the highlights.

Its frustrating that it took absolute necessity for Van Gaal to abandon two 6s in midfield.

    Fantastic result again.

The kids have taken their chance wonderfully, Varela had a really good game.

Rashford showed super positioning for the goals.

Memphis had another great game and finally looks to have found his voice.

I thought Mata was very good too, nothing too fancy but he seemed to control alot of our forward play.

Looking forward to seeing Martial and Rashford up front together and wouldn't be in too big a rush to see Rooney back.

Hard to say, but Varela has done everything asked of him and United play much better with aggressive fullbacks. LVG says he trusts young players, and so far he has been absolutely ice cold about throwing in youngsters in for big games. I think he keeps Varela on merit.

I'm not sure even Rooney walks back into the side given Rashfords form. Rooney has improved recently, but I don't trust him anymore as a consistent, reliable striker and certainly not as one who goes back into the side regardless of the form of his replacement.

    Let's not go overboard, Arsene.

We had two days less to recover than you and had five of our first eleven missing.

Rooney will be back in. He's captain.

Agree on Varela though. He's done very well and deserves to stay. Rotating himself and Darmian is fine by me. Valencia and Young are not full backs and should never be there unless it's an emergency.

Just imagine if Leicester or Spurs win the Premier League, however will Mr. Wenger explain that one away considering both Spurs and Leicester have lesser budgets than the Gunners.

Rooney shouldn't be given that luxury of walking straight back into the team simply because he's the captain, if he wants back in, he'll have to bloody earn it.. Let Martial & Rashford have a run in the team, keep Rooney as a back up if needed.

I think with Varela, and Darmian, the right back problem is sorted, though maybe another one just in case, and with the youngsters coming through as well. Just get Luke Shaw back and Smalling and the defense is sorted.. Varela, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw..

Our wingers were the unsung hero's of today IMO. Memphis and Lingard were bloody excellent. Delighted for Rashford too. I agree with many of you that he's the sort of clinical finisher around the 6-yard box that we need.
