We're getting killed in the middle, I'm not saying Herrera is the be all and end all but he should be in there over Fellaini. For the reason Fellaini is in there, they are the kind of tactics LVG should be employing towards the end of the match when we're losing, not when the tie starts with a clean slate.

Rashford being noted more for his defensive contribution than his prowess around the Liverpool box. That of course will happen when you play him at RWB as what appears to be unfolding.

This team on paper, they are capable of far more. Only for DDG, the tie would be over. Just because I'm not surprised doesn't make it all any less disappointing.

Even as bad as the Van Gaal era has been that first half was a real eye opener, we are being made to look like a non league side by one of the worst Liverpool teams in living memory.

A chance, thats all it was.

Liverpool have had 3+ shots at goal from almost point blank and have only scored once.
