I just bought a genuine Windows 10 key on ebay from this fellow (its not me :-) ) and it was delivered within an hour for about €25. I then downloaded the iso from the Microsoft link provided.

I ran into a slight hitch in that the old vista pc that I had bought the new windows 10 key for, had windows vista 32 bit and it would not allow me to burn the new downloaded iso to a usb.

I had already upgraded my new laptop to windows 10, 64 bit, and as the new laptop was 64 bit it would not allow me to burn the downloaded 32 bit ISO either.

I downloaded a microsoft iso burn tool from here

    http://wudt.codeplex.com

and was then able to burn the downloaded ISO from the vista PC to an sd card I had handy (rather than a usb) and boot from there to do a clean install, having already backed up all the data from the old pc to a removable hard disk.

Win 10 seems to be running very smoothly on my old PC.

The cleanup on the pc after the clean install was over 22Gb, almost as good a feeling as unblocking the drains :D

Just thought I would mention it as I couldn't find this specific info here when i looked.
