Front door sticking in rental property

We are renting a house for over two years and the front door seems to be on the way out. It is sticking when we open and close it. Its not a case of oiling it, its a structural thing. Is this a landlord issue or one we have to deal with? I don't want to be hit with it when we move out. We are reluctant landlords ourselves and would deal with it in our rental property if it seemed like normal wear and tear but I wanted to check here first. Thanks

If it is a wooden door it may be sticking because the timber has expanded. The door can be sanded to solve the problem.

open the door ,look at the hinges, see if the screws look tight .
it may need to be sanded or planed on the top,.or one side or the bottom.
rubbing with a sheet of fine sand paper may solve the problem.
its normal wear and tear .
one of the hinge screws could be loose .

Its a landlord issue to have fixed as it would not fall under "decoration".

Probably very easy especially if its a wooden door - the appallingly damp weather we've had since mid October has caused even well teated wooden doors to expand.

A little sanding in the right spot will probably fix it.

If its not wooden, then it coule simply be an ssue with a hinge.

If you know a handyman, have him look ar ask the landlord if he knows a handyman.

Thanks a mill. It is a wooden door and we were hit by the recent flooding so your replies make sense

Give the LL a bell and explain the situation, ask if it's okay to try sanding it or does he/she want to come down and sort it. If sanding it doesn't work then you've already got buy-in to get it fixed.
