Placed in the top 5 for Roscommon, am up for interview on the 8th. This will be my third TCO contract in Roscommon, and I'm through all the stages for the permanent positions. Pain in the hoo-ha having to do another interview, despite having the permanent one done only a couple of months ago!

Well done lalapo. I was lead to believe they don't take on many TCO's in Roscommon, that's why I was put off applying for that region. There seems to be movement at last with the permanent panel, I done stage 2 a few weeks ago still waiting on the results. There have been a couple of promotions in Roscommon lately so them positions will need to be filled.

Best of luck on the 8th, it's in the bag already, you'll fly it. :)

Hi Guys - ranked 7th in Clare this year and have interview Sat 9th of April. Does anyone knownif the HSE are involved in the recruitment process with the 2016 TCO panel . Last year I was in the 400 Mark for Limerick and got called for Revenue for a 6th mth contract but turned it down as I had went back to study . Going by previous experience it seems the higher up the list you are the shorter the contracts ? Don't really fancy a 13 week term time contract .

When were you offered the Limerick contract last year?

Off the top of my head I think it was Sept or Oct - back in 2012 I ranked 25 for Clare but didn't get called until Feb 2013 I think and got a two year contract . It's very hard to know what way it goes .

I think they are doing the interviews Friday as well going by previous posts. You can also ring Pas to change your interview time .

I sent the TCO Unit an email a few days ago asking what number they reached on the panel for my county last year and what departments generally took on temporary staff. The reply was very helpful so I'd advise anyone with similar queries to drop them an email too.

What email address did you use? Sorry if that's a super basic question haha!

I would like that email address too. I fear I'm just clutching at straws though. I doubt Leitrim take many TCO's.

Anyone from Meath and know where they use TCO's in the county?
I gave it a go this year got mid 50s to match my age :-)

What part in Tipperary are you hoping to get?

I would take any position really, preferably Nenagh. My number is 118 not sure where I stand with that.

Thanks Babygirl30 :) To be honest, I have no idea how far down the panel they get. It does seem to mainly term time that gets the cover. Best of luck with the permanent panel, there's been a lot of retirements recently too, so hopefully they start filling those spots.

The interview is the simplest ever. All mine were. You only fail the interview if you forget your name.

I was number 200 on the panel last year and was called in February. I didn't take it as I'm in full time employment. Most of the jobs are in Castlebar in Revenue.

Last year I recieved county results on 8th April and location b results on the 20th so it could end up being next week

I emailed the TCO people and they said they reached the 100's in Leitrim last year. They also told me being placed in the 40's was not a poor score at all. So there may be a glimmer of hope for me this time around:-).

Generally, TCO’s in Meath get sent to Revenue, Social Protection, Justice, Dept of Education, TUSLA etc. Hard to be 100% accurate as demand from departments may vary per year but that's just a rough guide. Have you been invited to interview yet?

Thanks for that, both my neighbors work in the Dept of Education it would be hilarious if ended there. I would prefer the Board of Works in Trim if they take TCO's
But I am counting chickens, as have not heard anything so far.

Well done, thought my interview and test went great but wasn't offered a place, think its because I'm in my 40s, probably want youngsters.

Last time I applied in 2014 I got sent to Waterford for the interview so I'm delighted this time as I'm only 10min away from Skehard Rd.

If you are called for interview can you postpone it for them to call you again, I am currently in a job at the moment covering maternity leave and really dont want to leave it till my contract is up. its one of the nicest place's I've worked, I wish I had got further down the list now.

70s in Cork and have interview Friday. Delighted it's on in Cork! Awful trek for a 10 minute interview otherwise!

Isn't it always the way? If we were jobless, you can be sure we'd be in reserves!
