Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Alves and Alba are the type of player that I just despise. Shameful from Alves when he was just as much to blame in that tackle and Alba made a meal out of nothing from Giroud and when he got no where got worked up and brought the head in

Delighted to see Giroud had enough class to not dive. You can be sure if the roles were reversed Alba would have been down rolling around and Alves would probably have gone down at the other side just in sympathy

Remember now why no matter how beautiful the football they play is that they have some rotten scummy players in that team

5 players within 10 yards of the ball on the wing, 1 in the box. No-one at the back for the breakaway. Brain-dead stuff, pathetic.

    Great goal

Maybe Arsenal fans will get behind the team now instead of only making noise when the ref gives a free kick against them.

Mert passed the half way line ffs

Suarez had to get a nutmeg in tonight.

The front three turn on for 15 seconds and they've got a goal.

And the Champions League was fun while it lasted.

    Game, set and match.

Mertesacker could not be more out of position for that goal if he tried. Seriously.

Ah. Be hard for them to come back now.

Ah yeah, they weren't trying to score the sitters they missed.

Goal!!! Messi! Messi! Messi! It's MSN, it's absolutely magnificent counter attacking football of the very highest quality. This team does it all, they've had 70% of the ball then they go and score a counter attacking goal. Sublime.

Man that was serious, some composure.

Coquelin is very limited at this level.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,458 ✭✭✭✭gandalf

We don't need to chase this too hard. At one goal it is still doable. If we ship more then it is over tonight.

Indeed - it'd be lovely to get the opportunity to play them instead of the likes of Augsburg wouldn't it? ;)

Wtf were Arsenal doing committing men forward there?

There was nothing on, they got suckered into it and Barcelona caught them on the break.

That's what your meant to do to Barcelona, naive.

I know Steve mcmanaman played for real Madrid but he seems to despise Barcelona, his commentary on bt is so biased.

Coquelin is very limited at this level.

Considering he is just back from injury he is doing ok tonight. He is not there to be a creative midfielder.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,561 ✭✭✭✭CSF

Arsenal will have to feel like they've left one behind here. This was about as low a performance level as you could realistically expect from a team with the players Barca have and they've failed to take advantage.

Huge goal, even if Arsenal equalise. 0-0 would've been a nightmare. Great composure from Neymar to put Messi in, I would've bet a considerable amount that he'd shoot.

That's the Busquets effect, everyone looks like that compared to Busquets.

    Ramsey was fairly pathetic there

Suarez is not a world class finisher and that is for sure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

What a miss from Suarez. What. a. miss.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,940 ✭✭✭omega man

Ah yeah Busquets is super tidy. Does everything he's asked to do so well.

Front three for Barca not too great there when 3v2.
    Suarez has been exceptionally poor.
