Open the reel on a JoJo extension lead?

I have a basic 10m JoJo extension lead; red and black, circular hand-held reel. Is it possible to open the reel housing? No screws or obvious clips holding it together. What's the knack? The lead was cut and I want to re-attach it. Thanks
