As mentioned in another thread, one of my friends is fighting in World Series Of Fighting 29 in Colorado which is being broadcast live on 12th March on NBCSN.

He has sent a video in asking for support from the MMA fans here on boards.

He is Ian "The Hurricane" Heinisch and is on his way up the ranks.

I hope you guys will cheer him on with me. He said if you like the videos then he is happy to send me more to post up.

A recent interview on his upcoming WSOF 29 fight.

You want to see the amount of drivel he has been sending Ian on facebook, like every single day non-stop sh1te.

What were the issues that Heinisch speaks of, TireeTerror? Of course you don't have to go into it here. :)

The fight is getting close now. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does.

It is OK. His offences are a matter of public record. It is not nice, and it has certainly held him back. Just before he got into WSOF, he was trialling out for Ultimate Fighter and he was doing extremely well. He was confident he was going to be selected, but then when he was forthcoming about his past, they appeared to get cold feet at the last minute.

Here is a link to the article. I hope it doesn't put you guys off supporting him, but he has made it clear to me that he wont even attempt to deny his past, and that it is something he will just have to deal with and he hopes with hard work and determination he can make it despite his previous actions.

Because this is the MMA forum and most are fans of MMA. He is also my personal friend and I asked him to send in the video. I just think it makes it a bit more interesting when you have a side to support when watching a fight, otherwise if you're watching WSOF 29 and don't know anything about the fighters at this stage in their career then it is harder to get hyped up for it.

Nah, just a friend who is starting out in his pro career who would welcome all of the support he can get.

Enjoyed that article. Based on what he has said there, the UFC will certainly have their eye on him if he can string a few wins together if they were that impressed with him at TUF.

I'll be tuning in tomorrow night anyway. Best of luck to him.

Here is a video of Ian fighting against Kris Hocum, who is also fighting tonight. (Sat)

Prelims start at 9pm ET (2am our time as it's held in Colorado which is 6 hours behind GMT). There's 3 fights on the prelims with Heinisch being the last prelim fight, so I'd guess he'll be fighting around 3:15am our time?

I'm not sure if we'll need a VPN, but the WSOF website are streaming live:

Ian has posted this up. Everyone is asking him what time he fights. Exact time is unknown because its impossible to know how long each fight will last. This is the order of the fights, bottom first working up to the main event.

Sorry man, I was unable to get on here during the fight and fell asleep shortly after it. I see you got sorted anyway.

That was impressive from Heinisch. His wrestling really came to the forefront last night as Vogel spent more time on his back than anywhere else. You always get a little worried when a fighter is on the receiving end of an illegal blow like the one he took in the 3rd that it might change the outcome of the fight, but thankfully it didn't and 30-26 was the right scoreline.

For all the ****e Vogel was talking he was absolutely muck. Fair play to Heinsch he done the business, and in easy fashion. Seems like a genuine bloke will be following anyway.

Glad you enjoyed it. Ian is really disappointed, he really wanted to knock him out. He was struggling to see in the third round because he had been repeatedly poked in the eye throughout.

He feels he learned a lot from it though and is happy he got a fight. 5-0 is heading in the right direction though.

For anyone interested who did not see it. Here is the fight.

Fair ****s to him I got a bit of dust in my eye earlier and I was in agony so I can't only imagine what he was going through! Like Paully said usually that ends badly but it didn't seem to phase him!
