I always thought that Jeff was a great TNA champion. Never thought much of Black Lesnar though, even when he was in WWE.

So, Jeff it is for me

Double J destroys the Destroyer in handy fashion.

    AJ Styles

    The Phenomenal One

    Raven

    AJ,

Ravens best work was ECW, AJ is one of the reasons TNA is still around. He was excellent. Some great matches (which you can see on his new TNA dvd of his greatest matches) and some memorbale moments. Raven sadly cant compare

    AJ all day.

He was to TNA what Sting and Ric Flair were to WCW. And what Undertaker is to WWE. A much better champion, had much better matches, against a large amount of different talent.

Yep, AJ here. Kept TNA interesting almost singlehandedly during his time there. Has to be a front runner to win.

    +1 to this

AJ, AJ, AJ. The man was the heartbeat of the company.

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

AJ defeats Raven in Style with a complete shut-out. Gonna wager that this next bout will be the toughest to date...

    Bobby Roode

The IT Factor of Professional Wrestling

    Vs

    Austin Aries

The Greatest Man That Ever Lived

This is tough, can I abstain? No it's Roode for me, just. Not necessarily the better wrestler but had the better run with the title....IMO.

A Double. Roode was good, A Double was better

I like both Bobby Rooooooo and Austin.

Think I'll go with Aries. Because I prefer his in ring style.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,852 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

Yip I'll vote Roode too. Always remembered being puzzled when Tenay and TNA crew in the early days would tout him as something special detained for greatness.

He certainly lived up to the hype. Loved his run as captain. Like EC3, TNA was nosediving but you have to acknowledge the talent holding the belt.

I knew this would go to the wire. It's sudden death at 2-2. Next fall wins.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,804 ✭✭✭A Brad Maddox Guy

I'd pick Bobby Roooooooo. I prefer Aries but when Roode was champion I found myself tuning in a lot more than for Aries

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,491 ✭✭✭thebostoncrab

Aries is my favourite wrestler in the world...but Bobby was a much better champion

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

The Dirty Heels give us the match of the tournie so far. I wonder can it be matched? Next up we have two loudmouths.

    Bully Ray

    Vs

    Mr. Anderson

    ...ANDERSON!

No contest. Bully should win in a landslide

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

    Bubba Ray Dudley.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,852 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

Anderson was a million miles away from credibility as this stage. Little did you know just how credible BRD would make himself as TNAs world champion.

Such a special resurgence in an already impress career.

    Bully Ray.

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

Bully Ray obliterates the hapless Mr Anderson. I fear there could be a repeat on the cards here.

    Eric Young

    Showtime

    Samoa Joe

Ugh....Eric Young was OK as a champ...while Joe wasn't given the reign he deserved.....I hate myself so much for saying this, but I remember more of Youngs reign and will always pick an OK reign over a disappointing one regardless of the wrestler.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

    Joe.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 51,460 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

    Joe wins for me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,478 ✭✭✭brianregan09

Joe for me too can't and never could stand eric young

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,852 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

Joe. Gets far too much slack about his TNA tenure. Yeah it was dire at the end but the run with Angle was exciting and I don't need to mention his matches with Daniels and Styles.

    Young's run was sooooooo forced.

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

Show's over for EY as Joe kills him in handy fashion. We've one more quarter finalist to determine.

    Chris Sabin

    The Motor City Machine Gun

    Abyss

    The Monster

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,491 ✭✭✭thebostoncrab

As this years draft shows, I keep forgetting Chris had the belt, so I'm going with Abyss

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 51,460 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

Yep, I'll go with Abyss too.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Music Moderators, Regional Midlands Moderators Posts: 24,125 Mod ✭✭✭✭Angron

I'm not really a fan of Abyss, but he gets the nod here from me. I wish Sabin had a more meaningful reign, but sadly he didn't.
