Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He might have started off left wing, but he retired as right wing as Enda and co.

We don't have any right wing parties or politicians in this country. The National Front in France, Jobbik in Hungary or the Tea Party movement in the USA are right wing. The lack of balance is one of the primary issues here.

I don't if take that point about working in your local area with a pinch of salt.

Aren't local areas in Rural Ireland not suffering from many cutbacks with many businesses closed and employment being stifled in local towns leading those to want to work to emigrate?

    That may be true.
But his take down of Pat Carey in 2010 is still political comedy gold

    https://youtu.be/k2sioK9Fcek

Thing is, everything Pat Carey said in that interview was correct, and everything Rabbitte said was bluster and grandstanding.

I'm saying this as someone who despises FF,

Presumably, he was talking about Government bonds, there's a bit of a divergence between our bonds and those of Portugal and indeed Greece's at this point, by quite an amount

The biggest mistake that Joan made was pressing charges against the Jobstown water protesters. Should have let it go

I think he is spot on with his analysis of the leaders. It'll be FF & SF or FG & SF.
