    Hi all,

I was having some PC issues recently which I fixed and I've decided to upgrade my PC. Can anyone recommend a good graphics card or anything else with this build to get up to modern times (mainly want to play new games on high settings. I haven't got a budget really, I can upgrade bit by bit over the next few months. Current specs below. Many thanks.

    OS Windows 10 64 bit
    Motherboard - Asus M4A89GTD Pro/USB3 (6 cores unlocked - overclocked)
    Chipset - AMD 890GX, AMD K10
Currently 4GB thinking of getting 8GB Ram Corsiar Vengence 1600
GPU - AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series (1 GB)
    Audio adapter - Realtek ALC892 @ ATI SB800
    Disk drive - SAMSUNG HD103SJ ATA Device (1 MB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II)
    550 PSU

No mention of which CPU is in it, just the family of chips - any idea? Good chance it'll bottleneck the GPU if it's in any way old. Or even if it's new-ish, at least until DX12 & Vulkan become widely used.

    Pretty old

    Head for

    R9 380 €320
    i5 6500 €250
    H170 board €70
    8gb DDR4 €50

Or a Haswell i5 with a H81 board for €250 and more DDR3 for about €250, won't be as good as the other build though

The CPU isn't the worst actually, you will get by with just a new GPU for a while and you haven't mentioned an overall budget, either. An upgrade to 8GB and something like an R9 380 or GTX960 for 250 would be a massive upgrade. A HD6850/6870 should get you €40 back.

The 1055T should hold up OK for now in most games with a decent card.

Thanks for that, I've the ram on the way, the GTX960 looks good. I might get that.
