Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Because everyone expects Arsenal to win this, I foresee a good utd performance, so I'll go for Arsenal bottling it again and a 3-1 home win with a late breakaway goal sealing the win for utd.

Yes because they have fielded a much stronger line-up.

No wonder we think Arsenal are going to win, we have a massive amount of injuries, issues in the back-line and having to field inexperience.

    It's kind of understandable.

I'm not sure I understand completely.

So arsenal should win because the have the better team but you hope they don't win because they have the better team? Right?

First of many saves I expect de gea to have to make

Should be 1 up, no composure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

That was some pass from Ozil to send Monreal through on goal. Exquisite.

Jaysus. Think he has been a bright spark recently

**** sake, gonna target Varela now

    Stupid booking

Worrying start from Utd. Varela on a yellow this early is a problem. Sanchez will be all over him like a rash for the rest of the game.

Welbeck is such a false dawn kinda player.

Ref has just about got that right

Good try by the lads to try and convince the ref it was a peno but Rashford definitely made the most of that!

I thought that was a clear penalty when i seen it first, but the ref has called it right.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,595 ✭✭✭✭Trigger

    Good call from the Ref

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Spot on from the ref there. Thought it was a pen initially

Fair play to the ref, looked a penalty at full speed.

Ah feck. If anyone at all got a toe on that

Gabriel turning into a liability. Needs to curb the rash tackles.

Decent play from Rashford, more of the same is needed.

Seriously no contact. Should have been booked for diving.

    No booking?

This is what I will never understand. Ref consistency is so mental

You need to go follow some non contact sport if you think it's rough so far

Within this match, or in general?

    Rough play from Wele there.

In general. Specifically, he books somebody for deliberately stopping an attack just inside the opposition half. But then it's only a free when somebody is careering into the box and gets taken down.

But it happens in so many instances, for and against all teams, hence the consistency issue.

Welbeck's no striker, got no-one really through the middle.

The cynicism of the two infractions may have something to do with it. As with the Carrick one just now.

Two bookings at the back so early

    Concerning :/

No booking for the arsenal foul at the edge of the box but two for United. Great

    That was a dive.

Plus not every foul is a yellow.

2 of our back 4 on bookings now. It could be a long afternoon.

    Really?

    Yup.
    Welbeck's on the right.

    Really?

What Sky had, and looks that way on the field. Guessing the idea is to pace-abuse all FIFA and let him run at the slower CB pairings.

Welbz getting the special treatment from his old team mates.

Also 23 minutes gone, has Walcott even touched the ball yet?

In football the ref doesn't have to balance out the bookings. Each one is on its own individual merit.
