Just a reminder lads the next comp is on this weekend. It's only two weeks from the last one to this one, but due to scheduling congestion it's all that was available.

I've stuck a post at the top of the forum under a new thread. The thread will contain the events dates for various organisations as we get them. Each event will have its own thread but the notification thread at the top will serve as a constant source for people to check the various groups and dates.

So if you are a member of, run or help run a clay range, rifle range, NGB, etc then please drop me a line with as many dates as you have, even the full year, and i'll add it to the thread.

    Another shoot over.

A great turn out for both pistol and rifle. The standard was brilliant with some top class shooters there, including some new faces. Really pushes you when you're up against such talent.

The rifle match was close. The scores were high and only a few points separated first from 5th. Good to see some old faces back, and some really old ones :D. Adds to the competition, but also the fun factor with the level of slagging as high as the shooting. Really enjoyed myself.

Congrats to the lads that took medals. You know who you are. You push the rest of us to do better to keep it competitive. Well done (/cough, feckers :D)

For those of you thinking you cannot do it with your rifle there was one competitor there with an open sighted Garand. He was excellent. Beating lads with top class guns, and the best of sights. So it really doesn't matter what gun you have, what sights you use as the format of the competition makes it a level playing field for all.

The pistol matches had an even bigger turn out. With results coming very close to a perfect score, the standard was once again raised. I'd like to thank the new lads that turned out. Was great to see some new faces and some new competitors to keep the matches fresh. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and look for ward to seeing you again at the next match on April 10th.

The results of the comp will be e-mailed out to each lad during the coming week. Remember that if you don't sign up for the e-mail report at the start of each shoot you may not receive your results.

So until the next shoot. See you there.

Nothing to do with the shooting.

It's all about the 'Mind Games' before the competitors shoot.

Have to thank Christy and the lads for another great day out, now the weather is getting better this 'Auld' lad will start turning up again.

I do believe that the boy'os from Harbour House took 1st in the pistol and 1st in the rifle competitions. It must be something to do with the Air down Kildare way. and the mind games ;);)

Or maybe because it's all ye shoot. :P:D

Seriously, nice shooting yesterday. To everyone for that matter. Some really good scores. I can see other lads slowly pushing for the top of the scoreboard each shoot. Lads that only 6 months ago were new to the sport.
