Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Professional to view a house re Modifications before purchasing properrty

    Hi,
    Myself and my wife are looking at bidding on a property in Dublin 15.
    There are a lot of positives about the house but also some potential stumbling blocks, which if they could be overcome would be great.
    We are looking at the options of adding a utility room downstairs to the side of the existing property (detached house) and extending the main bathroom by moving the hot press to the attic (attic has a conversion accessible by Stira Stairs, I know there may be complications with moving immersion tank etc).
    My question is, can anyone give advice regarding finding a builder/professional who could view the property with us and advise to the possibility/feasibility of making these modifications to the property, I would of course be expecting to pay a fee for the service.

    Ring around a few local architects.

    Most architects, for a modest fee, will do a walk through of the house with you and look at/discuss the possibilities and potential costs.
