Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hitting the heavy bag

Hi a few years ago I did some boxing for about 6 months.
I was starting to understand it, but I realize I have a lot to learn.
One day I was coming in from work and was angry with a boss
and I took it out on the heavy bag and the trainers smiled
because I was hitting the bag hard. I was wondering
when shadow boxing or hitting the punch bag do you
get angry, or what's your motivation when training?
My trainer also mentioned think about those who said
you wouldn't make it and use that as motivation.
I was wondering is there a spiritual element when training?

I don't get angry when training. I also don't think its conducive to good technique either.
Sometime new guys will get angry when sparring or whatever. But it's not something that I'd like to see encouraged tbh.

FWIW I'd differentiate between letting frustrations out on a heavy bag, and unleashing your temper on it.
