Was listening to rte radio one last night at around 7.15 when a guy came on reading an excerpt from a play which contained the word f
g quite an amount of times. Despite being liberal I found this grossly offensive. I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. Sick people the lot of them in rte. Also this is not internationally acceptable. Just another example of a jumped up minority. Suppose all the real talent has left this wilderness. This post should provoke some of the jumped up.in fact it might even upset the moderator of this site. Reality is a bit of a no no in the new Ireland.

People curse a lot in real life. There is no direct concept of a 'watershed' on radio.

You are seriously overestimating the value of your post with the idea of it provoking people.

    Boards has a swear filter.

I despise RTE for many reasons but I'm glad to hear that they allowed that word to be aired. It's the duty of large and national broadcasters to promote progressive behaviour and oppose censorship and suppression of speech. RTE fails a lot of the time in this regard. As does Boards.

    "Despite being liberal."

    Think you need a dictionary.
