Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Surprised one wasn't up already.

Massive game... in some ways far bigger than the one last Sunday that saw Manchester City deservedly win the Cup.

The prizes at stake... Manchester City need to win in order to stay in the title chase, this win could be key given Arsenal loss over the weekend, Liecester draw tonight, and Spurs travelling to West Ham whom haven't lost at home since last August.

For Liverpool, currently level on points with Everton, Chelsea 1 point ahead, Southampton 2pts ahead (the team whom they brought half their players from) and Man Utd 4 points ahead. There is a lot of local pride at stake...

Prediction, a bore 1-1 draw that leaves both fans unhappy.

A none game for Liverpool really, hoping to see Origi lead the line with a sprinkling of other youth starting and on the bench. Need to start to see how many of them are worth keeping.

Plenty of pride at stake. You wouldn't want to be getting too comfortable in the bottom half of the table.

Hopefully Liverpool show a little bit of backbone and get at this City team who have been anything but solid away from home, they will be there for the taking.

Don't know about that, no guarantee we will qualify for any European football next season if we don't start picking up wins.

Actually feeling good enough about this game, City have a horrendous record at Anfield - lost 8 and drawn 4 of the last 12 league games.

Speaking as a Liverpool fan, I've a feeling City could win this one. I think they're gaining momentum and we're losing it.

Put out the kids and concentrate on the Europa.

Kids might be a better option anyway

I fancy Liverpool for this one.

We've won all our home games this season, once you ignore the draws and losses, and I expect this sequence to continue.

    2-1 to the 'Pool.

    Bloody Hendo starting again :(

But at least Klopp took notice of what Carragher said. ;)

In response to hearing that Man City and Liverpool are playing tonight, Adam Johnson is quoted as saying, "I hope this is finished by Friday. It's a bit boring now."

Not up for this game really. Id like to see Origi do well though.

Thought Clyne would be at right back. Flanagan up against Sterling so.

As a unit we are collectively sh*t at crossing the ball.

    Steven Gerrard who?

If Moreno gave away that free...

    Library.
    Another awful atmosphere - alliteration.

Henderson is turning into Jay Spearing, everything so badly telegraphed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

No matter what way our attack is going it ends with a very weak floaty cross.

Theres some woeful players out there.

Hyperbole at its finest. We haven't been that bad so far, we lack that quality in the final ball for sure tho. But they're not woeful players, just too many average ones.

Can plays the most idiotic passes in the final third.

He is a good player but is well and truly in horrible form. Not fit, shouldnt be playing.

At this level average would be deemed woeful in fairness.

No one in the team seems to commit to a run until the ball is played, at which point it's too late and it runs out of play.

Right pass, slightly over hit. Flanagan still should have gotten something on it.

Firmino clearly Liverpool's most classy player on the ball. Needs better players around him.

Agree with this, that's a confidence issue. I really want two up front.

Flanno is able to recover too.

Lallana so good at running into lads.

    Rubbish game

Actually wondering should Benteke be playing? Really dont rate him but were so lightweight up front. Klopp obviously really does not like him. Gone in the summer.

They're average premier league players... all have done well somewhere in their career. But the problem is that not only are there too many average players our there but they're all so similar. Nobody who'll take someone on and beat them bar Firmino...

Skrtel on the bench a welcome sight!?? I think not...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,791 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

    No Manchester... supporters in tonight.

Still think average is not good enough.

Skrtel on the bench is not a welcome a sight as seeing Alberto 'The Outlet' Moreno on the bench instead of the pitch.

Clyne is deffo a better defensive left back than Moreno so far.
