Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So what Arsenal player will impress most at Euro 16???

Özil is the front runner. Kos could be the rock for France, Jackie could spark up for England and Ramsey could give Wales some blonde ambition.

Im gonna plug for Bellerin to electrify the championships with the inevitable Barça rumours following

I'll be risque and give Giroud a shout to bag some goals. France have a nice group, If he plays and get's a few In the group stage his confidence could get a huge boost and he could push on. Play a Klose role.

I think if Hodgson plays Jack in the middle with Kane and Vardy up front, they could go all the way. Jack could be one of those tournament players if he avoids injuries

I stuck a few quid on Ollie to be Top Scorer (why not) I didn't mention him to avoid accusations of fanboying

If he plays and get's a few In the group stage his confidence could get a huge boost and Wenger will think he's good enough to be our main striker again next season.

    Fixed your post ;)

Signing Vardy would be the most un-Wenger thing in the history of the world.

Hey as long as they keep giving penos for all his falls in the box...

did not see that coming... very interesting indeed.

29 and English just is not who I expect Arsenal to go for... I wonder what the release clause is though, I would guess around 30m

This 100 times. Thinking very short term with it if true. Could be another Suarez saga tho. Genuinely interested in whether people want him at the club

Prefer Mahrez to Vardy. A classier player and he has age on his side too.
If we do get Vardy then thats pretty much Theo's time up.

It's a smokescreen. "Well we did try".

Could do a swap deal with Theo

Id imagine Leicester want to at the very least try and replicate what they did last year. They certainly wouldn't want to be relying on Theo

We could give them Theo anyway

    made me laugh :D

if there is any truth to it, 20m is the reported release fee, which makes it a little bit more Wenger-esque as that would not be bad value really. Still a few good years left in him and being English you would maybe get close to half that back for him in a few years.

Mahrez is a striker though. Ozil plays behind the striker.

This would be the most un-Wenger like signing ever.

Not the biggest fan of Vardy, but £22m for someone who can actually score goals is good value.

The Guardian I believe were first as I say them quoted by another site reporting it. That said I'm sure it was actually first reported by some lad on twitter

My mistake. I had it in my mind that Leicester play two up top but then i remembered they play Okazaki and Mahrez wide with Vardy up top. Mahrez is more of a wide player while Ozil is central though. I think Mahrez could probably do the same job as Vardy.

No doubt we've triggered his release clause. Now its whether the club can get Vardy over the line or not

If there is truth to the notion that Vardy's people have been shopping him and his release clause around then surely that shouldn't be too hard. He is currently on 60k according to one article I read so I'd imagine he could almost double that (wouldn't be shocked if he was offered around 100k) with the move.
