Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Am I the only one that still has hope for Walcott? If he stays injury free, gets a good run and gets his confidence back I think he could be a big player for us. (I'm probably going to get a lot of abuse for that). Maybe it would be no harm to loan him out for a year to help him get his mojo back.

I've always held out hope for him but he really, really needs to hit form soon.

Thing is though, hes 27, not exactly the time to be loaning out someone for a year in the hope he will get his form back.

    Feel sorry for Walcott.

Don't feel for Walcott, felt he has led Arsenal on a merry dance, and is overpaid for it

Wenger is giving Theo every chance to play into some kind of form. It's just not happening for him. The harder he tries, the worse he is.

No merry dance, he just tried to get the best deal for himself. He was in demand at the time and exploited that. Every player would do the same.

His confidence is shot. Really want him to get it back but it's looking more and more unlikely

He has got so many chances now that its criminal, in a way I feel a bit sorry for him, its like he woke up one morning and had completely forgot how to play. On the other hand he's milking us for a fortune every week so I havent that much sympathy really

Arsene Wenger deserves more of your anger over persisting with Walcott, and the board equally for accepting his wage demands.
I don't blame Walcott at all for trying to get the best deal he can.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,116 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Why would we blame Walcott. It's Wenger and the boards fault for rewarding such mediocrity. Even at his very best he was never a £140k a week player.

Tbf when he got the contract he was someway useful, now if he was on half that it would still be too much.

    Santi has come early.
    What a cracker.

Santi with a great strike from distance. 2-0

    Lol. Then Theo scores.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 837 ✭✭✭j14

Theo has just made sure we don't buy a striker. 3-0.

Lovely finish From Caz. I do believe that was a Walcott assist. Just as well, he looked like a non league player when he gell over after latching onto the through balk in the box just the minute before

EDIT good finish from Theo too!

Theo Walcott. Pure shíte, then he scores

Santi is much better in an advanced position. A three of himself, Ozil and Sanchez behind the striker is mouthwatering.

Santi's absence was hugely felt last season

Can see he's getting some confidence back, though.

He was always one for getting the extra goal- rarely the crucial one

Did I not say here he was our best player last season.

    Noone listens.

This is making it look like a joke match.
Wenger will be very happy he has lots of players showing promise.
PL is a different beast though.

That's just an opinion, and him having a good game today doesn't make your opinion a fact.

    Well done, though.

Taught elneny was fantastic tonight :) not sure how hel get a look in when it comes to our strongest 11 (especially with xhaka and santi back )

Only 26 days left before the window is shut too , wish someone would remind Wenger of this :)

Of course we did, we don't have any strikers.
