All of the Euro players could have played today, including Kos & Giroud. I'm sure not one of them would have not wanted too. This is Wengers attempt to show he has a good enough squad and that he has total faith in them. Failed.

I have no idea. There's probably an agreement that players get 3 weeks off in the summer. The fitness/medical staff no doubt have an input, and they would know better than you or I.
