Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    What has happened Sanchez

Good question. Has the reality that he wont win anything of note with this lot set in? Disillusioned playing alongside a bunch of gutless wimps? Who knows? He's been shocking since he came back

Like a kickabout in the park for Barcelona. There not even in first gear and there ahead.

    Ridiculous statement.

On a side note elneny and iwobi have looked very composed so far

There's nothing wrong with playing out from the back, if you just pass the ball to your teammates.
There is if the players aren't able to.

And it's not a clever ploy against Barca for any side as the smallest mistake and they will punish you.

Welbeck again crying out for a lofted ball over the top he can run onto.

Final ball is poor. There's definitely a goal or 2 for the taking here

He's one of the main reasons we won't win anything. Your big players should step up and lift the team. He must have the opposite effect on teammates when he constantly gives the ball away and turns attack into a counter attack.

I just wish he would adjust his game and play a bit safer until he regains some form.

That said, I think he's looked alright tonight.

I'd have Iwobi above Chamberlain and Walcott any day of the week

    Where we expecting anything different?

Genuinely wouldn't be surprised to see City in for him and/or Ozil.. We're due another big player leaving for a rival

Not really. My faith in this Arsenal team is all but gone.

That's a bit like saying I'd rather a punch in the face over a kick in the balls! I'd rather better options

Honestly, what does Wenger see in Flamini?

Thats not the line i was taking, i was more of the mind set if they wanna head off, pack their bags open the gates and let them **** off

The money flamini has robbed through his arsenal career is a scandal.

Oh f**king hell this is just insanity from Arsenal.

Players just not getting their heads up on the ball, panicking and passing it right back to Barca.

I'd miss Ozil. I think what we're seeing from Sanchez now is who he is. Sometimes it works and he looks fantastic, but the majority of the team it doesn't and he looks woeful.

    His love child.

Might not have been deliberate, but a trip in the box without doubt.

At least AW is earning his 8million...

We could say that line about a huge amount of players but Flamini is a special case.

Two world class players. Why on earth would they want to stay. No ambition or quality at the club.

I was thinking recently about why this Arsenal team don't work as hard as they sometimes should. I wonder is it partly because a lot of them are just waiting for Ozil to do something.

Like, who cares, he'll put another one on a plate for me in a few mins?

Looks like his foot clipped Macherano's knee.

Eh? They showed the replay, you can clearly see he knocked his leg and it went across and made him trip over himself.

You know you're wrong when Howard Webb is agreeing with you. :pac:

This team should be built around Ozil. He has weaknesses but he's by far and away our most creative player. His passing is sublime.

Iwobi is good so far and Elneny is very tidy

    WOULD YOU JUST SHOOT!!!

    drives me crazy

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

How many touches do Arsenal players need?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,057 ✭✭✭FixitFelix

    Hit it first time Elneny

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,940 ✭✭✭omega man

Takes us forever to take the bloody shot

There was contact on Iwobi and let's be honest if the situation was reversed it would have been a peno and a red card.

Ozil should be playing as the Number 10.

The team needs more Iwobi's and Elneny's and less Flamini's and Monreals.

Why won't they just shoot when they have an opportunity?! Jesus christ

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,586 ✭✭✭Canadel

Ball being moved quicker by Arsenal.

Better play. Need a goal before ht.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,161 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

Barca look dreadful to be fair. They'll probably still win 5-0 but the space available to arsenal would worry me if I were catalan. Better teams will punish them for that.

Monreal has been one of our most consistent players of the last year

They will step it up in the 2nd half no doubt.
