Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great ball from Iwobi. Hopefully Sanchez can finish the season strongly now.

You travelling backwards through time? Tell me not to bother getting my hopes up with arsenal this season when you get back to August.

Iwobi ending Theo Walcotts Arsenal career is joyful. Looks a great young player.

    Think Walcott ended that himself

It's not like we've ever had young and/or flash in the pan players ever.

Agreed but He should definitely be our backup winger next year after we buy a new one as well hopefully with Walcott going out.

One injury and he's first choice :p He looks good no doubt but he should be 4th choice "winger" for next season.

Sure thats the same at every club. Id be relatively happy with Sanchez, Another world class winger, Ox, Iwobi and Campbell as our wing options next year with the options of playing Welbeck, Ramsey and Wilshere out there too.

    Iwobi looks very promising.

Ox ahead of Iwobi? Right now on form Sanchez is probably the only one ahead of him, and then its a load of players who aren't wingers.

I still think Walcott's being a bit unlucky. He was going well but then had to play more defensively to the extent that his average position was behind Bellerin. Looks to me like someone getting lost in the mix and turmoil.

Nice deflection. Can't believe that's Bellerin's first of the season.

Iwobi often seems to have loads of time. Unlucky not to score there.

Yeah, and apparently if Ozil keeps doing flicks, the Watford players are going to get themselves sent off. Nice.

Passing, pace and fluency much better without Mert and Ramsey in the team.

Agreed, but it has also worsened since Theo came on just after OG. Danny just seems to offer more up top and of course, Iwobi has been top class so far!

Pace maybe. Dunno that Mert and Rambo have a negative effect on the other two.

It's just one of those matches where the team have clicked. Even Coq has showed some great touches, which he wasn't doing. Scoring early always helps.

Walcott just remembered how to score. Helps when you get in the box.

Hah, he gave the ball away a few times, then pops up with a decent finish! Good man Theo!

Compare that to the fa cup fixture a few weeks ago:(

Good performance, good win. Our biggest of the season.

It shouldn't be celebrated too much though, we should be expecting this type of performance against Watford at home...

Good performance and comfortable win. Pity though it's typical Arsenal when not under pressure.

Hopefully other results will go our way and give us a sniff at least.

They have to win every single match for the rest of the season. Major pressure.....except when they win and people say there's no pressure.

You know what I mean. We are miles behind Leicester so the pressure is off unless they start dropping points.

But then if they do, and Spurs too, I doubt we'll be seeing too many 4 nil wins like today.

It pains me to shout for Liverpool.
If there was only some way that both could lose

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,483 ✭✭✭brianregan09

Every season is a loss for Liverpool so shouting for them once is fine

Hard not to be happy with a 4-0 win.

    2 points gained of Spurs.

Havent seen the game but seems like this team is able to cope a bit better and are a more balanced side with Coq and Elneny in the middle. Having a more mobile striker (who isnt walcott) has made a difference as well it seems.

Pity its all come too late.

Dont think we have any hope of winning the title no matter what we do but a good finish could see us overtake one of Spurs or Leicester I reckon

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,828 ✭✭✭gosplan

A notable difference is that Elneny seems to have much more disclipine than Ramsey.

Get and give, simple ball, find space, get it again etc. But very rarely enters the box and isn't really ever caught in front of play.

Much better platform and much less risk than anything Rambo offers.

Ramsey takes on way too much on for a CMF so Wenger is probably right about him being out wide.

Again this points to Wenger's coaching. Yeah being expressive is great but really you need to be telling your CMF to be a bit disclipined. Plus I think of the CMF tries less to force the issue they actually get presented with 3/4 decent opportunities per game.

Looks like Arsenal have been identified as having a player that's accused of doping... I wonder who that is...

Things can change quickly. Pressure does crazy things.

The problem is that Leicester aren't really under pressure cause they've a cushion.

That needs to disappear tomorrow if there is to be any hope.
