Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Good to see Jack and Tomas back playing for the 21's right now on Arsenal player. Bielek just scored a shocking OG!!!

The live feed on the website is confused: "Goal for Arsenal! Bielik turns the ball past his own keeper".

Am I correct in saying Gnabry was recalled in January? Where has he been the past few months?

    He scored tonight!

And whoever thought him working under Pulis would be good for his career wants shooting!

Good stuff pity we have no unimportant games left this season to give him a start in.

Last time we'll play them at Upton Park too which is a shame.

@Arsenal: The wait is over, here is your team for #WHUvAFC pic.twitter.com/kBsZ39vosO

Ospina retains his place, which I guess is fair enough, because he's played well. Hard for a keeper to play his way back into the side though.

What I love about this team is the bench is full of players that must be extremely hungry to have an impact.

Pretty happy with that team. They have been doing well so no need to tinker. Very strong bench too

On paper that has to be the best bench in the league.

Its all about getting 2nd now, with spurs playing utd tomorrow we really need a win.
Will be a very tough game just hope the lads turn up

I think he's mad not starting Cech. Stone mad! Cech is taller (better v Andy Carroll) and a better shot stopper (v the likes of Payet). Lunacy of the highest order starting Ospina.

Fair enough, but I can just see Payet pinging a free kick just over Ospina's stumpy arms and us all wishing Cech was in goals :o

It's a very tough call. Cech hasn't been missed since his injury though.

It's not that extreme. Ospina has played well, and I don't think Cech was in the best form before his injury. That said, I'm sure most people would prefer Cech.

Ian Wright just said LANS 3 or 4 times in a row when talking about Iwobi :pac:

Arsenal will win by two clear goals imo. No bother.

I'm a huge fan of Cech, but I don't think we should risk him not being match sharp.

Need to win this badly. It's probably our toughest remaining game (cos City are so lazy).

    Iwobi assist again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,500 ✭✭✭Drexel

Not watching live but from the bbc text seems we got a bit lucky with offsides. About time we got a bit of luck!

West Ham are best playing on the counter so taking an early lead is great

Just give the little beaut our POTS award now. Magic.

WHU can consider themselves unlucky though. Bellerin was asleep and completely out of position for their wrongly ruled out goal

West Ham's plan of overloading the midfield and controlling it isn't really working out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,435 ✭✭✭wandatowell

    Iwobi is just so calm

  • Moderators Posts: 8,726 ✭✭✭x PyRo

    Iwobi is a phenom.

    Sanchez.

Was it a good goal? We playing well?

At least we are scoring again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 528 ✭✭✭Lahinchians

Iwobi looks like the real deal!

    Yes, yes. Doing very well.

Elneny is class, the way he receives the ball, turns in an instant and either makes a smart pass or bursts forward is brilliant.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,342 ✭✭✭Bobby Baccala

Cracking first half so far, great performance. Elneny has been quality too.

And we've thrown it away within 5 minutes.

We really need to sign a top centre back this summer.

    That is laughable.

Absolutely shocking from Arsenal in the final 5 minutes.

    Surprised?

    It's expected

Didn't learn ourour lesson from their disallowed goal, leaving men free at the back post 4-5 times.
Stepping up and not watching people peeling off the back.
Took the foot off at 2-0

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,694 ✭✭✭emmetlego

The defence for the 2nd goal in particular was just atrocious. I mean, schoolboy stuff. Infuriating!

That second goal got a bit of luck back for West Ham. Initial chest down looked controlled by his arm, then block by Gabriel popped straight up for him, followed by deflection for the goal.

Will be a tasty second half.

Yeah im surprised. It does tend to happen Arsenal a bit but to expect it is just plane silly

How is the main target man left free time and time again.. He even had time to take down on his chest just outside the 6 yard box?? Concentration levels in the back line are zero most of the time

We will go on to loose this now I reckon.

    Shocking.

Would have taken a draw by HT, just need to win the second half. I see Giroud and Walcott doing some damage when they come on...
