great. 4 supermarkets, train and bus to the city, 15 mins by car, schools, pubs, some great restaurants.

that said, it depends what you're after.

Thanks, we are retired so would like somewhere:

    1. with good transport links
    2. not too far from a large hospital
    3. a few decent pubs and cafes
    4. nice walks nearby

Midleton is on the money so. Do you drive?
If so all of East Cork is at your doorstep, with great beaches, great walks and all sorts of restaurants.
    Getting to CUH/South/Mercy is straightforward.

If you don't drive, then you can take the train or bus into town and then take the bus on out to the hospitals.

There's a public health nurse, CWO and branch office of Social welfare in Midleton. Dentists and doctors aplenty.

Also, a Macdonalds drive thru and a cinema. :)

I don't drive but my husband does. Are there any nice walks locally in Midleton?

Someone mentioned that there are lots of new houses being built in Midleton, is this true and would it have a negative affect on the town?
