Hi, I was wondering if any of ye with shops on here could recommend a new coffee machine to buy not rent
A mate has a snooker hall and has a kenco singles coffee machine that you insert a cartridge into machine. U can pick espresso, cappuccino ,tea cartridge etc. Each cuppa costs 1.60 n each cartridge 40c. Cup is a bit on the small side n most punters bring coffee from other shops n garages to the hall.

He only sells 2 or so a day but with a decent yoke reckons could do 10. Looking for a bean to cup or ground to cup machine with say 4-6 buttons on it for expresso, cappuccino etc.
    Thanks

The brand of coffee he will use is the most important bit. We use Robert Roberts in our shop /deli. We get a lot of people driving to us past a number of other shops purley for our coffee.

I can point you in the direction of a good guy who will sell him a reconditioned second hand machine at a good price if it helps

    It's a serious investment for a potential 10 cups a day though.

Those machines serve dreadful coffee - hence people are bringing coffee from outside.

One option is to provide free tea/coffee and have a percolator & hot water.

Other option is to get a domestic bean to cup machine at the desk and make coffee for them - some of the machines will do cappucino automatically as well. You can also set the cup size and charge €2 and possibly include a little mini of lotus biscuits (1.49 in Dealz for pack with 20 mini packs)

Cost - decent coffee beans about 15c / cup
    16oz Double wall cup + lid - about 12c
    Milk based 50/50 cappucinnos - 12c
Sugars, stirrers etc - less than 5c total

    Overall cost 44c

    Retail €2.00 (1.83+vat)

Gross profit per cup about 1.40 -

Cost of machine - about €300 for something good enough (see amazon warehouse deals for good value)

Cups, sachets, signs etc all available from Musgraves.
