How long to keep food

Haven't seen a thread on this topic but it's one I often wonder on so hope it's OK for me to kick off! I just made a stew, for tomorrow, but how long would you leave it in the pot? Would you eat it Sunday too or would you really want to stick her in the fridge for that?

Mod Note: Hi HamsterFace, please note that food safety advice is strictly forbidden in this forum, and we must direct you to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland if you need information. That being said, best practice is to always refrigerate food instead of leaving it out in a warm environment.
