Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

First match thread for a while now and still unbeaten:pac:

Normally a terrible fixture for the Reds but I'm hoping that Palace are holding themselves for the FA cup quarter final on the 11th.
Crystal Palace duo Connor Wickham and Wayne Hennessey are both doubtful for Sunday's game and will be monitored.
James McArthur and Jason Puncheon are out but Pape Souare returns from a ban.
Daniel Sturridge and Mamadou Sakho are back in training after missing Liverpool's midweek win against Manchester City and could both feature.
Philippe Coutinho will also hope for a recall after being rested on Wednesday, but Lucas is out for at least five weeks with a thigh injury.

Bolasie and Zaha to run the defence ragged and Palace to continue their excellent home form against Liverpool.

Played really well against City so will no doubt be unwatchably brutal today.

Happy to see Origi start, deserves his place and I think his work should pay off with a goal today.

Just seen they've put Alex McCarthy in goal, I'm still not over his performance against us at Reading.

Just resting players, I'd prefer to see Clyne play every game but it's a risk.

Speed. Moreno is one of our quickest players against their wingers, I imagine, and Clyne needs a rest as Mav said.

Moreno races from one calamity of his own making to another with lightning pace.

I still retain some hope that he will figure out this defending thingy at some stage:(

A win here and we'll have 3 more pts than we did before game.

Pullback from Jedinak, any other time it'd be a yellow

That pass from Can to Milner highlights everything wrong with Milner, too slow to do anything.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Milner's first fall at 4 minutes

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

Hate that short corner crap - just send it in

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

    Great save!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Lovren should not be getting beaten in the air by Bolasie

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

    Well done Mignolet.

Ridiculous tackle from moreno, great save from Mig

Turns out the ref doesn't have a problem with early bookings. Jedinak should be the same so.

Palace finding far too much joy down that left side

    Adebayor should have buried that.

    Crosses are horrendous

You always get these mad open games at this time of the year. Is because teams are tired and also the Christmas fixtures catching up?

    Origi is doing really well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Milner having a shocker......cant even make a pass.....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,633 ✭✭✭✭Buford T. Justice XIX

Lots of forward passing today. The team look confident and showing for passes and moving into spaces to receive them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,796 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Palace should be throwing everything at our left flank, because Origi and Moreno are useless defending.

Moreno defending with his back to Zaha

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

    Got the ball?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Good effort. Need to take a few more shots rather than messing around the box.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

    Flanagan-esque from Moreno.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Would be nice to see Origi get some proper service and chances......every ball seems to be smashed at him....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

    "Few candidates to take this"........what?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Not sure where the foul is there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

We should rename the liverpool match threads to "we hate Moreno". Flanagan has been caught out as many if not more times so far today.

Origi playing really well tho. So powerful and his touch is far better than i thought it was watching him before he signed for us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

    Terrible call.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Palace just kicking and shoving Origi at every opportunity.....
