Secure shed for storing bike at front of house

I own a mid-terrace house (no side-access), and currently bring my two bikes in through the front-door every day and park them in the front living area. It's an open-plan house so no way of hiding the bikes in a separate room, plus I don't want to take filthy bikes in through the house (carpet etc... and no I'm not removing the carpet so please don't suggest it).

Anyway, problem is they are taking up space and I want to move them out to park them at the front of the house so I'm looking for a secure shed that I can anchor to the ground. It's a safe area so theft is unlikely (cul-de-sac with community watch)

So... I googled quickly and came up with:

I think the first one might be better as I can store more than just bikes in it if I need.

That one looks pretty good.

A bit too wide unfortunately. The 1.96m width of the Trimetals is pretty much the max I could go as it will be behind a bush

I understand you request and a good idea. But the prices shown on the websites are crazy.
Those made by plastic rotational moulding are made for about €50.
If the charged €200 plus delivery, they might get a lot of sales.

There are cabinets used for water pumping and treatment. Sometimes you would see them by the side of rural roads. Might suit.

There's no way you're getting a bike into that, let alone two. And it's almost €860!!

Anything plastic for a few hundred of the required size won't be secure. A utility knife, hacksaw, or small pry bar is all that would be required to gain access.

Open to correction, but I think you might run into planning permission issues with having something like that at the front of the house as opposed to in your back garden. Something to keep in mind and just check up on.

Thought about that, but it will be hidden behind a bush and will go where my bins currently are positioned (and it takes up roughly the same amount of space as the 3 bins).

Worse happens is that I just have to move it.

That's a good price on delivery for something that heavy. I looked at something similar a few years back and delivery price was way higher. Can you link here if allowed or PM me who you used for delivery?

So just checked mails and the guys I used were called "Pure Home Delivery" (Mobile: 07753 190299)

Based in Leeds afaik.

Not sure if they are still operating. Total cost was €70 but that included shipping over a new toilet / new sink unit / new kitchen sink, plus lots of other bits n pieces, including the Asgard shed, so the portion of the shed was approx €50 or maybe less. I was getting a nice house refurb done at the same time


I just went on Shiply.com to get a quote and they were the cheapest. I made sure to ask them to wrap the shed panels in cloth to prevent any scratching and they did it all perfectly.

No not for that size, I enquired.

Also if there are issues you can always leave it unbolted to the ground as the shed itself weighs a ton.

True - but this been Rep of Ireland, what local authority one is located in would be the biggest factor on the enforcement of this.
