Replacement filter pin

Coffee had been spluttering out of my Gaggia Classic in the past few days and when I checked the basket I realised the little rubber/plastic pin was gone.

I'm fairly sure it must have fallen into my food waste when I was cleaning it out and as that bag is almost certainly in the wheelie bin (along with plenty of rotting food & dog shít), so I'd rather not have to delve in to try to find it now.

Is there somewhere in Dublin where I can pick up a replacement pin? Or will I have to go online (and go without the machine while I wait for it to arrive)?

Think positive , maybe it is a sign to stop using presurised basket and do the right thing?

Thanks - got in touch with them and they had some in stock... as it turns out they're no longer the agent for domestic Gaggia machines in Ireland, but they have a bit of stock left at the moment.

What I've meant ,you don't need Pin for the non pressurised ( commercial type ) basket .

alec76 makes a fair point. There is a seller on adverts currently selling naked portafilters with a triple basket that would be a serious step up and will help you improve your tamping technique (though it'll be messy at first ) http://www.adverts.ie/5074193
