Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So before we left Dublin Bojum was my absolute favourite place to go for lunch and now I need to try and find a decent replacement so I can get my burrito fix!

So far I have only had the chance to go to Pinto which I thought was pretty good just the right amount of spicy and not full of stuff I don't like but the price ! In Bojum I could get a burrito and can of diet coke for €6.50 with my Cineworld card but in Pinto it cost me £8!!

Where do people suggest to try next?

    Los Cardos on Leith Walk.

There are a bunch of options around the city aside from Pinto. Taquito (in Tollcross next to the Cameo cinema) is supposed to be decent and cheap, though I haven't been there yet. There's also Taco Mazama on Hanover street which is pretty good for on-the-go grub, and I'm sure there's another one further up the street as well but I can't remember its name. Las Iguanas on George Street is nice too, but not the cheapest as it's a proper sit-down restaurant. Ditto Mariachi in Old Town. I'm

    Thanks chaps!

Has anyone tried the guy in the old police box at the far end of Rose St? Seems like a terrible location!

Taquito beside the Cameo cinema in Tollcross, it's £5 and includes a soft drink for a small one and £7 for a large, the large is literally the size of a small baby though so unless you're not eating anything else all day the small will do you grand as it's about twice the size of the Pinto's ones. Los Cardos is also great if you're in the Leith end of town.

That place on Hanover is ok, didn't fill it with enough meat though.

There's Illegal Jacks too, they were on Lothian Road and have a small burrito and drink for £5 during lunch. Wouldn't describe it as small by any means!
I think they've moved up Pleasance direction now.

There are times when nothing less than small baby size will do though! I'll definitely check out Los Cardos is I venture out to Leith but doubt it will be somewhere I end up often.

+1 for Taquito. Live around the corner and pop down on a Sunday afternoon with a bit of a head one me. Taquitos always sorts it out! As mentioned it's a great price for the amount of food

There's a Mexican place on Hanover Street (Queen St side) now too.
Well I say it's there, doesn't seem to open for lunch but the Sushi place next door does.

Is that the one with the green frontage above bonkers gift shop? For some reason never fancied popping in there.

No that's Taco Mexicano ot whatever that one is. This place is next to Bar Napoli and Grand Cru, looks like sit in restaurant.
We normally head for an eat in lunch in one of those places and it strangely hasn't been open for the last few weeks.

FYI Tani Modi on Hanover (basement next to Hanover 99) does an absolutely unreal Meatball Hero, meatballs, cheese and jalapenos in a grilled panini.
