Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Klopp even advertises beautifully

It was a foul. The only debate is if the proper contact was in the area.

Anyone saying it wasn't a foul is blatantly biased.

The difference in approach, the difference mindset and the difference in the path that both of these clubs are on is jarring. Liverpool have looked slick, their movements have been sharp, their pressing really fantastically organised, they've allowed Man Utd practically no easy possession out from the back. This is a team with Klopp's fingerprints all over it, even if the individuals which it consists of may not be the ideal Klopp players. On the other hand Man Utd have resorted to getting players behind the ball, not pressing the Liverpool center backs, trying to play direct and attempting to hit Fellaini when they get controlled possession in the Liverpool half of the pitch. If that seems negative, this is a club on the verge of bringing in Mourinho and this could easily become the norm. It's perplexing that a club the stature and with all of the resources of Man Utd have gone down this route while Liverpool are the club that have embraced where modern football is going.
Klopp is closer to Guardiola, Pochettino, Conte etc. while Van Gaal is closer to Trappatoni.

Are BT instructing the pundit panel to be biased towards their former teams?

    Fellaini up front for hoofball

    Good night, fair play Liverpool.

Mata surely would have got a peno if he went down. Pity it takes that reaction to get a decision

Rashford gone, poor half in a weird position for him. Assume Carrick needed to shore up that defence.

    Here comes hoofball.

If you're taking off Rashford you have to bring on Herrera, though maybe Schneiderlin's headless chicken routine will be more use now.

    He wasn't touched?

Van Gaal going back 3 in an attempt to play aroumd the press and give his side a better platform to build from the back and allow them to transition from defence to attack, something they severely struggled with first half.

Liverpool should have this tie sown up by now. If they can get a second at the start of this half, they'll get another one or two and close out the tie tonight. United have been awful so far. This is the worst United team I think I have ever seen. Game has been really disappointing for us neutrals. Chelsea game last night was a million times better.

Right decision to bring on Carrick. Wrong player to take off. Good man LVG

No but by my estimation there should be 4 more Liverpool players in the book... clear yellows.. also , where did i say every foul is a yellow ?

I am also seeing that United are poor going forward but when they have had oportunity to counter there have been fouls comitted in tje middle of the park that stopped the break away where the tackler had no intention to play the ball for a start... thats a booking.. stick to the facts

Ok, I'll argue this but this is the last one as I don't like confrontational styles like you use.

Youo did say they are not being suitably punished, so as they got free kicks I assume (which is what people do) that you wanted a yellow.

Don't know what your problem is as you then say there should be 4 which I totally disagree with.

Keep being momentarily annoyed by a United player walking around before quickly realising it's the ref. Ah colourblindness.

    better from united

    Great shot

Difference in how Man Utd are playing out from the back and the ease with which they are finding a pass into midfield is obvious. Though Liverpool could find a lot of space out wide if they switch play quickly.

    It's getting proper ridiculous.

Moreno had the ball at the edge of the Man U box and i was shouting at the lackadaisical so and so for taking his time as a Man U player closed in only to realise it was the ref.

watchin espn lat am, commentators doing their but about the fact that United never shoot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 172 ✭✭aidanathome

The fitness levels of the Liverpool players seem to be a level above the United players. Anytime Utd are on the ball, there are 3 or 4 Liverpool players trying to close them down.

Why does Michael Owen think that only the foreign refs don't like studs showing?

my stream quality is a bit rubbish so i keep making the same mistake...players aren't allowed to wear the same shorts as each other, so why is the ref?

And could they not give him a yellow top or something?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,480 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

We're controlling it well even when they have ball.
Could hit them on break soon
