Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Feels weird saying this, but I'd be incredibly disappointed if we didn't beat this Man Utd team in OT on Sunday.

    You will.

Brilliant night, well deserved, the only thing bugging me is the tie should be finished by now, could have been 4 or 5.

How have all those transfer fees gone on that sort of display from united? £300m for that...

Or maybe she's United, we're the catapult and the melon is Adam Lallana?

    The grass is grass.

True, he hasn't come close to winning the league in England.

145mill net spend, which is still a frightening figure.

Would he get another shot at it?

Rio: "Liverpool played like a Man United team"

    :pac:

This is the best part of the game. Scholes is going full Andy Tate.

If your lot play to their full potential, you should beat them very easily. United are a poor side.

One good performance out of three games against United this season, having lost the previous two and winning by a penalty and a defensive mistake against a side ravaged by injury make your statement a little over zealous. Liverpool deserved the win tonight but have the potential to tank in their next game, in isolation United were terrible and Liverpool were quite good and deserved to win. Anything else is up in the air.

I'd say they were the better side the last time the 2 sides met too and Rooney's winner was entirely against the run of play. Poor finishing on the day let Liverpool down. That's a credit to the coach that he's come in during the season and he's been able to alter their playing style so much already. He's working with a group of players that, individually, aren't hugely impressive when you compare it against the best squads. It's a squad that Klopp, in terms of the personnel, has not yet made a mark on.

On the other hand this is a side 2 years and an eye watering amount of money into the Van Gaal project. The grand sum of that was hitting Fellaini with diagonals.

McManaman thoroughly enjoying sitting in that panel.

Think BT go overboard about their ultra HD, but being able to see Scholes' tears make it worthwhile.

Rodgers deserved to be sacked as does LVG. It's not so long ago Liverpool were in the situation United are now in with a lame duck manager lest we forget.

    Glazers Out!

Only positive us Utd fans can take from this game is that,LVG is now thankfully one step closer too the sack. Tie is over at 2-0,OT next week will have a poisonous atmosphere.

Just the FA Cup left too go for,too save our season. We'll have too go all in against WHU.

Scholes is a great pundit, only a notch or two behind Keane.

United are lucky Scholes is up in the commentary box, instead of pitchside.

He looks like he'd fight some of the players tonight if he could.

lol. Too emotionally involved . Man Utd had some very inexperienced players out there tonight & there luck vs Liverpool finally ran out.

Mancs in attendance tonight should be ashamed of themselves singing about Hillsborough! Horrible human beings, enjoy the result and your journey home!
Total posts from you about the match: 0.

Some people from both sides do enjoy the drama more than the football.

United were just so flat. There was nothing there, they couldn't get past the Liverpool press and create anything, which allowed Liverpool waste numerous chances and still come away with a win that almost certainly ends the tie.

Some of the De Gea saves weren't even that great. It was a generally wasteful Liverpool performance but when you give a team that many opportunities to create chances you can't expect to get anything from a game.

Scholes looks like he's ready to box the head off the frist utd player he sees! lol

Two games under Klopp though. First one, De Gea kept you's in the game. Tonight, he couldn't quite do so.

He kept you's in the tie though.

Just because you are angry and outspoken it doesn't make you a great pundit. He seems to have a very clear vendetta against Van Gaal. On top of that silly comments like not understanding why Carrick was at centre back are just weak and is lowest common denominator stuff.

Still think he's only this critical trying to get Giggs the job so he has a nice cushy job then. He's not nearly as critical to players he's friends with like carrick

Don't know how there wasn't about 3-4 Red cards in that game.

    Pool played well, fully deserved.

    United absolutely woeful.

Really ? Other than Fellaini throwing his elbow about, there wasn't a bad tackle in the game. A high foot isn't a bad tackle.

Based on what he was giving Yellows for.

Henderson dived IIRC? After being on a yellow.
    Fellaini... Well standard,
RoJo had a few dodgy tackles as well worthy of second yellows.
