There are 2 liverpool s this season.

The one who destroyed man city last week and the one who gets humiliated by West ham etc

I think over two legs, Liverpool might just edge it. I could easily see extra time happening

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,848 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Think if United come away with a score draw or a victory from Anfield they will cruise the second leg, sit back and pick Liverpool off on the break with their pacey front 4. 0-0 or indeed a Liverpool victory would give them a slight edge. Still fancy United though.

Tomorrow we tear Liverpool apart on the counter and run out 3-1 winner, laughing. Then at OT we pass the ball around the backline for 90 minutes and only lose 2-1 so good enough to go through, where we get knocked out in the next round no matter who we play, cause we are ****e.

Or Liverpool knock us out this round and get to release a dvd of the tie, cause we are ****e.

That's more of an Everton thing to do really.

    A combined XI anyone?

They were fun times back in the day.

    De Gea at a push.

    Yea have to agree.

Martial might be in as well (going to be an awesome player) but Firmino just shades it.

I won't lie. I'll be very very upset if liverpool don't win this tie.

It is nearing the time for Liverpool to fire the last hole into the sinking Louis val Gaal ship.

Actually just on that. Who would the United fans like to see come? Mourinho being the obvious one but who else?

I predict a 0-0 draw, no bookings and everyone in this thread to get along tomorrow evening.

    Go team!

    No!

I'm torn between wanting to win but dismayed that LVG might be fired because of it.

It's tough being a Liverpool fan this week.

    ................De Gea..................
    Clyne Sakho Smalling Shaw
    ......Schneiderlin Herrera........
    Firmino........Mata......Coutinho
    ..................Martial...............

Sakho only makes it for lack of better options, he has looked a really average player. Shaw with a broken leg is better than anything Pool have at left back. Team still wouldn't get close to winning the league

Lucas has been very good this year so could be in with a shout instead of Schneiderlin.

Also if your including a chap with a broken leg then you'd have to put Sturridge in instead of Martial because Sturridge is a much better striker at the minute.

Other than that I don't think anyone could argue.

Best player on the field is De Gea though.

Can in for Schneiderlin, take Coutinho out and put Martial on the left and Sturridge up front, and Shaw out for obvious reasons with Flanagan replacing him by default (he must be the only fit player between both clubs who can play LB).

Not a team that would beat Tottenham or Leicester at the moment though.

If we can defend the high ball to Fellaini then we will have a chance.

I saw a guy shouting at some pigeons the other day, didn't get his name but I think he'd be an improvement on LVG.

At least there's no doubt about which manager would be in charge of the combined team.

Two mediocre teams. Shame the two are meeting when they are at a low point in their recent history. Also it's the lesser of the two European cups.

Wont be expecting any awe and wow football from the game.

Think United Will win over the two legs

Red card in the match at 13/5, had to lump on that!

The loser is all but done for with CL football next season whereas the winner is 1 step closer to the final and winning a CL place.

It's a bigger game than you make it out to be.

Darmian was better at the start of the season but his form dipped and he was injured so Clyne edges it for now. Could all change

Its because, right now, both teams are doing fairly shite. Posters' confidence is at an all time low.

It would be the equivalent of shit talking someone's job prospects while you're standing in the dole queue.

That said, allow me to be the first to say; Fuck United. I hope we hammer them.
