Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

young martial is already making a name for himself for his 'falling over' aswell lest we forget, one thing i hope for is that the tie is not decided by a dive,or simulation, that would be awful ,unless it benefits liverpool, then it would be hilarious

    No he's not.

MY prediction is that next week's thread will be a far more exciting watch then either of the two games.

    Something like this?

It's amazing how low key this game is considering it's significance. United fans are just too depressed to be up for it. Not sure why the Pool fans aren't more bullish about their chances.

It's because it's like today in the Dáil, everyone settling in to this unchartered territory, not wanting to give anything away so soon.

I'm sure it'll kick off once the match...well, kicks off.

    Cagey stuff to be sure.

I feel sick inside. I hate these games. I just want to dissappear for the next few hours.

I'm normally the same but I feel nothing. Not excitement, not nerves, not anticipation.

    VanGaal has destroyed me.

3:2 to Pool over the tie, though it could as easily be the other way round.

Shock horror, Fellaini gets the nod. Once he bullies us and gets his head on a few high balls and utd get a goal to lead late on Liverpool will match tactics by bringing on Benteke.

Bit sneaky having a ref on the bench.

Is the UEFA Cup not on 3e or ITV4 or Channel 5?

Highlights on ITV at 10:40 though.

2 1 united lallana to score first

Don't know why this result keeps popping in my head

At least BT are presenting it as a worthy tournament. 3e and ITV4 treated it like a first cousin who's sound but too embarrassing to drink with.

I'm guessing it'd be about 50/1 for that to happen. If it keeps going in your head might as well put a couple of quid on it just in case!

On that subject, Mick, me old mucker. Any bets for this game?

    :pac:

Big game for the captain. He needs to step up big time tonight.
I think he could have huge impact. Will be a telling night for Henderson, games like this need to be impacted by leaders.

Fellani to score from the half way line with his elbow in the 89th minute

Fellaini gets a lot of stick from a few United fans but when he doesn't play we are missing some serious steel in the middle of the field.

Happy to see him play and think he will cause LFC problems, and not problems of the elbow in the head variety. Well, he will probably cause some of that too.
