Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Chelsea! Apply more ppressure! Their back line will crumble like a crumble pie.

I don't think any were as blatant as Matuidi's pull back. Well beaten by a trick from Pedro, cynically drags him back purely to break up the attack. A textbook yellow card offence.

As bad as Costa's on Ibrahimovic?

I normally hate Diego Costa but I'm beginning to love him for one day only. PSG a bit dodgy once things aren't going their way.
But I expect PSG to start well in the 1st 10 mins of second half. Willian is immense too.

Being away from home for the second leg is a decent advantage for PSG to have.1 goal from them and the tie is more than likely over.

All set up for a great 2nd half

He's a world class centre forward but his behaviour is amateur, fun to watch though.

Enjoyable first half. Despite early dominance, PSG have really shít themselves.
PSG are very fragile. Very talented players but very few you would want on your team when things aren't going well. They'll probably end up going through on away goals.

Veratti is a huge loss. Rabiot is as I expected, a good player with a nice playing style, but he's far from special. Looks nowhere near the level of a top class midfielder. Only 20 though tbf. At the moment he looks like he lacks playing time more than anything. Bit off the pace.

Hazard is the best player on the pitch.

Just saw the Chelsea goal, savage cut back from Costa.

    Good game this, shockingly.
First leg was fantastic, PSG always look to play ball, and Chelsea had to score.

This was set up to be a great game.

I have to add that I think the referee has been very good.

PSG haven't learnt their lesson from the first half.

    Great game

    Willian is savage

The guy who called Costa world class is a clown and should be banned from the internet

I think Chelsea will do this

"Lazy play. He should know better. He's looking right across the line"

Michael Owen using lazy commentary cliches to describe somebody being lazy.

Ibra finishes it. Chelsea have done very well after a poor start but all for nothing now.

We're so poor at the back it's unreal. And it's not even the young lad causing the problems for us, cahill and Ivan are midtable quality, not cl quarters.

Would have preferred Chelsea to go through tonight.

Can't see them scoring a couple more.

Poor ol' George Hamilton should hang up the headset. The mistaken identities are farcical at this stage.

George likes to pronounce things properly and that's how a Brazilian would say it.

Listen to how he says "Oscar" as well!

As in Barca will win this tournament for the next 3-5 years minimum.

its a farce of a tournament, no balance in the game.

You'll make nice money if you think that.

The last time a team defended it was 1990 I think

It's either him or Michael "Zzzzzz" Owen. Neither great choices, to be honest. And Glenn "Mr Charisma" Hoddle on pundit duties to look forward to shortly. Great. Can't wait.

Balls anyway. Atrocious round for the Premiership's coefficient. Really thought Chelsea might have had enough about them to get through, but now it's only Man City into the next round.

Awful in the Europa too, with Spurs getting the hardest draw they could, and one of Utd and Pool guaranteed to go out. Could easily be looking at just 2 English teams in Europe for the next rounds.

Really disappointed in Chelsea tonight to be honest, Ibra's goal was on the 67th minute. Yeah, it was a major uphill battle from there, but Chelsea just threw in the towel. Nothing but the FA Cup to play for for the rest of the season, and yet they just stopped trying tonight. Not even a hint at those bits of nice quick interplay they'd done earlier. Could have at least gone down swinging.

God the lamenting of Tyler and Owen that Chelsea were not given an easier game is bad. Also I did not hear him clear but I think tyler was saying the coronation of PSG and this was not good for French football

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 960 ✭✭✭Crackle

PSG much the better side over both legs. Chelsea had some bright spells but outclassed in the end.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,292 ✭✭✭GreNoLi

Barca to draw and easily dispatch psg in next round, they have a fair few weaknesses.

Dunphy having a go at the premier league and mutd, who'd a thunk it?
