    Hi,

I am looking to get a sofa covered, anyone have any recommendations for the Galway area?
Got some crazy prices so just want to see a comparison before making the decision.

    Thanks

Don't withhold info from us :)
What prices did you get and with who?

Is it leather or fabric you need?
Is it a cover or re-upholstery you need?

Think this is a dying trade with all the cheap new crap from the large stores built in China, new stuff is only built for 5-10 years then bin and replace.

Whereas the old stuff was designed for life with a retrim from a skilled tradesperson along the way.

So with a reducing skilled tradespeople pool expect high prices(as in the range of the price of a cheap new Chinese couch)

Gerry Merrigan http://www.goldenpages.ie/merrigan-jerry-galway-city/ did a great job repairing our couch a couple of years ago and was very reasonably priced

It is fabric sofa that we have about 10 years. We bought a new one with the intention of selling the old one...now want to keep both.
It is a good quality one, frame etc in good shape, just the cushions are getting a bit worn.
