As a 21 year old, its fair to say I grew up in the 2000s, I know there's a thread here about Waterford in the 80s but I can't help but notice how the city has changed exponentially - quite recently actually.

I'll Highlight some things that come to mind immediately

    The old Railway Square

Red square renamed 'John Roberts Square" and is pedestrianized

When the Quay was properly functioning....

I remember Funderland where PC world is now.

When we had only one bridge across the suir.

When we had a Fianna Fáil government minister

Egans demolished. Pub in city square went too (Can't remember the name of it)

I remember McGinitys pub on the Cork Road.

WLRFM were based in Broad Street.

When Carickpherish was all fields, and same the areas where Tesco Ardkeen is and where Harvey Norman is now.

When we had Ken McGrath, Paul Flynn, John Mullane and Tony Brown bringing Waterford Munster Championships in the early 2000s

Manor School knocked and made way for the Innercity Complex.

Maritana Appartments build beside the Park

    Keith Barry was becoming 'famous'

There are just a few from off the top of my head, But it does seem Waterford changed a lot during the Celtic tiger period and it seemed the city was in rapid decline for a while.
