nothing on screen

when i boot my desktop up, running windows xp, goes to screen where i have to press F1, then it goes to screen where i select start windows normally, then it goes to windows xp screen where you'd think it will be starting but after 15 seconds the screen goes totally blank and remains blank, anyone able to help here please

try increasing screen/display brightness... this is really obvious but it caught me out for ages, probably isnt your problem but it is no harm in trying!

Tap F8 when your machine is starting up and choose Safe Mode, does it go blank in that?

XP is no longer supported, so just ensure you're running up to date anti virus and maybe do a check disk just in case.
