Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Its a pretty heated game for a bunch of blown ins playing each other

Ah you know what he means, I wouldn't expect a lad from Brazil and a lad from Germany to have a huge emotional investment in a London derby. Not to say they don't care, but local derbys at the top level are generally more for the fans than the players.

On a more controversial note, I find most of the 'emotional investment' for local derbys by foreign fans to be artificial, for the same reasons. But that's for another thread :pac:

    The greatest sporting achievement ever.

    Well done Leicester.

I can only dream of seeing my team do something remotely similar but I don't think we'll ever see anything like this again in the Premier League in our lifetimes.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,050 ✭✭✭✭The Talking Bread

What an achievment. Underdogs. A team of poor players who have never looked anything like champions before this. Against all the odds. To come back from the brink of relegation. It truly is a fairytale story for Chelsea tonight!!!!.

Delighted for them, it's such a brilliant story. Equally delighted now because they'll go in as first seeds in the CL as champions.

FWIW, it's been a very nasty game. Shameful as a Chelsea fan, don't like to see that nastiness from our players.

You've got to think Claudio is happy to be home now, able at 64 years of age to celebrate the first top flight league title of his career (he has multiple at 2nd/3rd tier, randomly) with his 96-year old soccer mad mammy, and not only that but probably the most remarkable top flight league win in the history of the sport at that.

Hats off to the Tinkerman, couldn't wish it on a nicer guy! :)
