Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone got any tricks for cleaning used engine off pavement?
I did a quick google search and few tricks popped up. I was wondering if anyone has any tried and tested ones.

Pressure Washer always worked for me tbh.

Portland cement, or baker's flour. Sprinkle generously on the oil patch, leave for a few hours then rinse off and give it a dart of a yard-brush. The extremely dry, fine powder draws the oil and makes a surprisingly good job of it.

Or do the same thing with biological washing powder. As well as absorbing the oil, the enzymes in the powder help break down the stain.

    Scrap the cap!

As mentioned above, cement and washing powder does a good job.
I personally found that the cement did a slightly better job for me,as its finer than the washing powder so gets more oil lifted.

Ive also used Gunk driveway cleaner, let it soak in for 30 minutes, then give it a blast with the pressure washer.
You can get a can of Gunk in the builders providers or motor factors for a few quid.Depending on how bad the stain is,then you might need to repeat the process a few times.
