    Hi Folks
Just wanted to let people know about two QQi accredited courses we have in Waterford College of Further Education that teach music production and sound engineering (Ableton live and Cubase).

Sound Engineering and Music Technology is a Fetac level 5 one year course that will teach you the technical essentials in electronic music creation and introduce you to the world of studio recording, mixing and live sound.

The concept of the course is to provide a broad set of skills to help people entering the music industry, including modules on video production, radio, image processing and music industry studies. One module, Music Technology, is taught using Ableton Live Suite 9.6 and the Sound Engineering Module is more focused on Cubase 8.

We've been going 8 years now and former students include techno artists such as Myler (I'm a new boards user so I had to leave out the start of the urls, pasting them into the browser will still work ) discogs.com/artist/2694905-Myler although we cater to every style from Metalcore to ambient.

This year were very excited to be able to offer a second year, level 6 course that combines Sound and music with other disciplines such as Visual Documentary creation. This level of the course is aimed at online content creators including people interested in game design, video, sound design and foley, advertising and digital entrepreneurs of all persuasions.

You can apply for these courses online wcfe.ie/jcms/full-time-courses/34/54-on-line-applic.html
The criteria for under 23's is 5 passes in the Leaving Certificate and everyone must successfully go through an interview process (nothing scary though we just want interested and motivated people)
    Thanks for reading.
