Great reductions on VR titles in store January Sale. Bought a ton of games while they were reduced. I'd say I'm sorted for a few months!

I bought CreedVR €12.99 in the PS. store. Great craic altogether

Picked up Thumper, Statik and downloaded the 2 PSVR demos, still only on world 3 of Astrobot, have about 8 levels left in Beat Saber (and will for a while I'd say!). I'm sorted for VR for Xmas. Plus, picked up Burnout Paradise (how awesome would that be in VR), OnRush and Crossout, and haven't finished RDR2 yet. While I would love to buy more VR games while they're cheap, I can't justify them right now, but the sale is on until January 17th I believe, so 2 more paydays before the deals are gone!

So - been a while since I played the PSVR and got it all set up tonight for the Christmas.
Just played Beat Sabre - WOW !! I love it - but I lit a fire in the sitting room and then played it - I'm absolutely roasted. Sweating like a pig !
I'm hoping I might get AstroBot from Santa :D

I picked up Statik a couple of days ago. Thinks it's only €5 right now on PSN. Game little puzzle game. Seems short though, but interesting concept and well made.

Also got Thumper. Hard to explain this one, but if you ever played Frequency or Amplitude, it's similar. YouTube it, and then remember that it's way better in VR!

Rec Room is free, works on mt's but completely non-invasive, it's there as a option. The paint-balling is good, but it's an online thing so be prepared for some of the weaker parts of humanity voicing their noise.

Wipeout Omega Collection (currently €10 on PSN) is supposed to be amazing in VR, and it's 3 (albeit similar) games in 1.

That's about all I can recommend, as I'm new enough to it myself.

Pickup Polybius in the sale. The most intense visual experience you can get.

Yes i didn't need the heating on 😎 and I had sore arm muscles for two days afterwards. Highly recommended Creed VR for a healthy life 😀

Did you need to calibrate anything in settings? I got it too and while the gym training is responsive, the fights feels like it’s just flailing arms until someone gets dropped, like punches not connecting or something.

Santa brought the VR starter pack to my 13yr old. For health & safety reasons I had to try it out obviously. Very impressed with it. Astrobot came with it and that is great to play.
Soon as we started looking at the recommended games, realised the move controllers are a must have. Can not find them available in any b&m shop or online til Jan. Have put in an order on Smyths website which has est delivery of 4th Jan.
Anyone know where I could pick some up?

It felt very authentic for me although I haven't managed to dodge a punch that goes slow motion yet. I did reposition my camera so that's it's slightly above head height and it's angled downwards.

Firewall Zero Hour with the Aim controller - I am totally hooked! Incredible action in it

And I really dislike it!! Just tried it for the first time and find controls awkward and slow. Not for me i'm afraid. Will probably flog it on adverts.

Any decent games for aim controller?

Turn off smooth turn and aiming offset - I couldn’t play it with the janky turning but flying around in games now using back stick to turn.

All this talk of Black Mirror and it’s interactive episode. Do yourself a favor and get a proper interactive experience and get The Inpatient. IMHO its soooooo much better.

Wow this I didn't find with firewall at all!
Farpoint is another great game with the aim.

Farpoint next on my list for the aim. Any idea what Arizona Sunshine is like? That’s aim compatible too.

I'm Playing Wipeout now and friggin loving it. But there seems to be a mode in a cartoon graphic style without other racers... Like a time trial but it doesn't seem to end? I had to cancel race. Anyone know what I'm missing?!

The zones? The aim of those sections is to keep going until you die essentially, I think you aim to achieve a certain speed / score to progress

I achieved gold in my last run and at lap 20 I threw my hat at it... All other challenges are done and the next race is still locked

Got Exorcist: Legion Ep 1 last night, wife got such a fright playing it she nearly threw the VR headset through the tv :D Way too short though for the price and Paranormal Activity still has the crown of scares for me haha

Playing Firewall most of afternoon with a great group of lads, plus we had host so no disconnects. I really hope they build on it with extra maps and modes because it is my favorite VR experience so far (apart from Astro Bot but I’m totally stuck on Boss 3 in that :D )

Pretty sure it went back up again the following day! Still showing at €35 on PSN, but you can get it for €9.99 via GameStop.

My mate has been looking and everywhere are sold out. New ones going on Amazon for £60 each, or £80 for 2.

Calibrate your Aim through the PS settings menu, make your camera level centered (so it can tell the difference between the aim and headset lights). If you get drift in game, hold the aim in front of the camera and give it a small shake, should recenter itself.

I got the VR last week and I can honestly say it's the best gaming experience I've had in 20 years. Astrobot had me smiling constantly, such an amazing game.

Currently have Wipeout and Resi 7 waiting to be played too but I was waiting to finish Astrobot before starting in to them.

Also shout out for Moss, a truly beautiful game.

Also shake the aim controller around in the game or in the lobby, it can help it when it starts to drift.
