You need to download the Battlefront game first, you launch it from in there.

Ah, so you have to pay first!

I think it's a fiver now. Believe me, it's worth it.

It's 30 euro at the moment, it's usually cheap. Get it in Gamestop, it won't cost much.

Cleared out a 6m2 space today and reconfigured the PSVR then booted up Superhot.

Got through the entire game without dying once, I can't believe how smooth it feels when you have space to run and duck. Such a great GREAT game.

Also finally completed Rush of Blood, end boss looks amazing.

Can I buy any of the Battlefront games to make use of the VR download?

My local CEX has Battlefront for £10, but Battlefront 2 is £40.

Tried to play Drive Club VR demo the other day, lasted about 2mins. Gave me terrible head fairly rapidly. Like that downhill Luge demo.

Question, I have a free VR demo of star wars battlefront that is showing as purchased when I go through the shop listing, but can't see it listed on my library.

    How do I see it?

I picked up a copy of battlefront from adverts for €9 worth it for the xwing level alone if you love Star Wars.
The games itself is fairly ****, but a nice drop in and out
As free levels go this is one of the best.
EA would get my money if they brought out an xwing v tie fighter game/remake like this.

As for driveclub I found convertible cars to be the worst for making me feel sh1t at the start.

Yep it's 100% only Battlefront 1.EA didn't add any VR options to BF 2,yet.

I doubt they will, I'm about to sell my BF2. It's good and all, but just a huge boring grind after a while with no reward.

So the £10 one will do for me!!

    Sweet.

Wasn't mad about the Battlefront vr, thought it wasn't really worth a tenner.

I brought my dodgy move controller back to CEX, bought 29/11 for €22 and they verified it was faulty, led issue. Then he goes I can give you a discount on a replacement, 5e off 50! I was disgusted, politely demanded a replacement as per my rights but no dice. I have copied and pasted their warranty terms and emailed head office. Not gonna hold my breath.

It's a really cool experience and I'd big grin on my face throughout, but i'd never pay a tenner for just the VR mission. Maybe worth it for a fiver, but you're still overpaying. It was a free add-on for a reason. The gameplay is actually poor enough, it's short and you'll maybe try it two or three times in total.

    General question re: the VR.

It states everywhere that not for Under 12s.

Does anyone let their kids play with it?
What harm do they envisage a VR headset doing to say an 8yr old?

But he wouldn't be paying a tenner just for the vr mission , he would be getting the whole game.

Eyes are not fully developed so might cause harm afaik

Mine are 8 and 11, they were 7 and 10 when I got the VR first. I let them play for 30 minute sessions, twice a week max and they have to allow a few days in between sessions. Their eyes and brains are still very much developing and where I'm generally lenient with them gaming, there is no definitive evidence out there on whether the VR is damaging to developing eyes or not so I prefer to err on the side of caution with it.
The 11 year old loves it and would play for hours if I let him, the 8 year old tries it occasionally but the headset doesn't fit very well so she quickly goes back to the Switch!

I let my 8 year old daughter have the odd shot does no harm

I thought VR headsets were unsuitable for under-12s because they are likely to destroy these expensive pieces of technology with their devil-may-care attitudes. Also, kids don’t deserve to be spoiled with this technology so early on, how long did it take for us grown-ups to have a chance to experience it?! :pac:

Even better, a mate is lending me his original Battlefront!

So I'm getting it all for sweet FA.

Tbh, I'm not a gamer, just want to see what the VR experience is like on this.

It's probably the best thing to show someone on the fence about VR, it's a real mindblower. Make sure to use the headphones and turn them waaaaay up.

Has anyone used a powered USB hub to run a HDD and VR headset and steering wheel?
Stupid Sony and only putting 2 USBs on the system.

Or do I bother and just continue plugging stuff in an out all the time.

I've been thinking of getting one myself. It's an awful pain in the arse plugging and unplugging stuff with only 2 USB ports available

I just install the driving games on the console itself, and the non-driving games on the external HDD.

Of course a Pro has an extra USB at the rear which negates this, but this is the solution for OG.

    Thanks,
Yeah it’s what I have done for the time being.
Was hoping a usb hub would run the headset and steering wheel.

Tried looking on a few forums didn’t find a definite answer.

Priorities I will pick up a steering wheel stand anyway first!

I use an ironing board :D

Actually works pretty well, plus easy to pack away. Don't have the room to store a gaming seat when not in use.
