Phishing email - we didn't fall for it. Just letting people know

    We've been hit by an email allegedly from Banking 365 which says that they are going to suspend service if we don't validate our email with them.

    Here is the text of the email. The email address of Bank Of Ireland is a giveaway !

    This is a phishing email and has not been sent by Bank of Ireland. We will never contact you asking for your personal banking details - like account numbers, PIN and other login details. 

    If you still have this email in your inbox, can we ask you to please forward it to 365security@boi.com before deleting.

    For anyone out there who is unsure - 

    If a company writes to you and asks you to click a link to validate your email address, or to put in more information, never respond to it. It's a SCAM. Ring the company or go on to the official website directly (not via the link supplied) to find out if it is genuine or not !
